    That's actually a great point and even saves a loadout slot for an eldar player at high levels. Rhino outside your cap? Just respawn a fire dragon preset.
  2. I'm going to be this guy and confess that I actually like playing melee in this patch more than ever. It's bugged - it's the way it's always been - but now, because of the nerfs and the sheer amount of dakka flying everywhere, melee actually requires some effort from you to kill someone. It doesn't feel like the noob tube I (only my opinion, of course) always felt it was, when I could top the scoreboard just beating my mouse buttons fast and furious - melee now actually requires much more flanking and timing. It's not ideal, and the Rock-Paper-Scissors system is broken, as usual, but overall melee gives me a challenge that I seek in a game. Not an overwhelming one, you know, just enough to keep things interesting.
    And yes, I watched your videos, Psychopski. I’m sorry, but what the hell are you even doing there? Half of the times you’re jumping on your own in a group of enemies that clearly see you or will in a second, and expect to win, for whatever reason. You ditch your gun for a shield, and then you go hunting DA on your own without even trying to be sneaky. And you rely on heavy attack you already know usually won’t get the running target, and you still keep trying it. The hell, man? If your opponent got away – retreat or use your gun, or play catch up as JLA. Do not just spam the air. And always get some boyz to go with you. You keep the melee from them, they’ll help you with the range. That how things should work, I believe.
    Now, I know I'm alone in this opinion, so you can just skip that part when you disagree and tell me that you might had an intercourse with my mother, and post a kitten instead. This thread has so few of them.

    Can't wait to have range nerfed again. Though TBH, this patch melee isn't that bad compared to when the Alpha just started. You can still be very effective in melee while playing SM or CSM, you just can't jump in the middle of the capping point and expect to live to tell about it anymore.

    Only HB and equivs will get nerf from ranged weapons, all other ones are fine really(more or less, Hawk still sucks donkey balls above 8 meters).

    Melee system needs some performance fixes for certain weapons and hit detection, but the actual system works now like it never did before with rules working.

    Had anyone noticed that Eldar and orks are equal to space marines in basic stats, but Eldar, for example, run much faster than space marines? Where is the assymetrical balance, so wildly abused in ads and some forum posts? Also Eldar basic weapons outsine SM weapons in dps and accuracy in average conditions, like faster movement isnt advantageous enough. Eldar are supposed to be more squishy, to balance their speed, but they are just as tough as any SM or CSM.
    CSM aint much better - i already see complaints about sorc mobile crazy AoE heal being not OP enough (and it even goes through walls), and healbeams giving not enough edge over apothecary healing touch (which is hard to aim and even harder to complete because your target just moved 50 cm away). And those Autocannons, with accuracy of sniper rifle... Also lore-inaccurate Plasma Cannons.
    Orkz have crazy basic accuracy - literally crazy, shoota shoots better in raw state than my bolter topped with accuracy upgrades (that might be a bug?), crazy melee strength (well, thats ok) and goddamn spot-on plasma deffguns or whatever its called.
    And SM have what? shields? apo pre-buffs? heavy bolters? versatility? sorry i cant see anything better than other factons have...

    My point being - interfaction balance is terrible at this point (please dont bring teamwork into equation, its almost equal in all factions save clan teams), with melee-ranged balance just about fine (though there are isues with both parts). So i pray the Emperor will guide devs to the balance issues soon after launch. Until then i have to endure and focus my rage :)

    Lol you have no idea about other factions do you? xD SM are way better than both Orks and Eldar. Orks Melee is completely terrible at the moment and their guns are also complete trash.

    I'm going to assume this is a troll post as it is pretty hard to be that far into denial.

    No sorry its not. Please objectivly name things that are better, with their counterparts from other factions.

    I truly wish to see the difference (also about orks - that was my impression before latest pathc, it seems they are broken now)

    The heavy bolter is pretty much the best weapon in the game at the moment hands down. SM and CSM are infinitely better than Eldar at melee due to having actual weapon tiers.

    Orks as mentioned have awful/bugged melee weapons and awful ranged weapons apart from the plasma deffgun. Which is still way worse than the heavy bolter.

    The bolter is still the best generic ranged weapon when compared to the Orks or Eldar.

    *For the record I mostly play SM.*
