With the Ork melee weapon's weight being bugged as it is, and how the melee range feels really small at the moment, Ork melee is in a pretty bad spot. I haven't fought Eldar since the last patch, but they were always annoying to fight with Orks... Our vehicles have always been really fragile though, nothing new on that front.
That have more to do with orks being on underpowered side. Also, its either huge lag or shuriken catapults are bugged again and require twice the ammo to down targets as pre patch. Also, Eldar vehicles compensate for other eldar shortomings. Contrary to popular belief recently, its hardly a EC master race with no downsides, play some Eldar and tell me how pleasant experience it is before rank 4 and advanced armor.
I have played eldar. It is by incredibly pleasant experience since your guns actually hit their target. I'm not saying every class is as strong either hawks probably need a little more love though they have improved. Regardless of the ammo usage - shuriken weapons kill EXTREMELY quickly. I've had lag on most games but not all and quite frankly any shoota just can't compete. I'm not sure what shortcomings your tanks are supposed to address? As it stands you are stronger than orks at every range. The differences between the transports is obscene. Serpents are flat better than every other transport as far as I can tell. Not only are the stronger, faster and more maneuverable but they have more powerful weapons to boot!
Well its all subjective ofc, i really dont like how underwhelming it looks. Oh i dont want the spells to be over the top, but they can certainly use some love visual wise imo, just enough to make it looks allot more badass then they currently are, and then just crank it up to 11 when the Sorcerer Lords come to town.
I suspect the hitdetection may be a bit off or high ranked characters are alot harder to kill than i was expecting not sure which, ive had similar issues to you with the bolter(issue can be countered with drum mag), storm bolter and plasmagun(which is most obvious due to how fast it over heats), its also worth stating that this problem persists across all races be it fighting choas, orks or eldar (probably LSM too however have not faught them as iam Space wolf) some people just take far more shots to kill than others it would seem.
That's why Daemon Bolt is a high-end spell sitting at the end of the tree. Powerful spells should not be common or come cheap, and after how the Daemon Bolt was demonstrated, rightfully so. I'm expecting Lightning bolt, Doom bolt and such to get the same treatment. When I walk into the field as a full-fledged Sorc or a Sorcerer Lord, those lowly AS should be in awe at my presence.
At the very least the description mentions that it only applies to the leader's squad members. There's no stacking and no way for non-squad members to get a buff from a standard/icon/bosspole/banner. As for the presentation of the numbers, previously I literally wrote them in description, which is of course not a reliable or failsafe system. Now they've been moved over to real tooltips that pull in the proper stats, but the stats are set up in a way that makes sense for programming, not for users. Tooltips are basically a nightmare of special rules for any MMO, so the first iteration was just to present the raw data. In the next patch they'll be presented as "Stamina Regen: 5% faster" and whatnot. That said, we still have to implement the tooltips individually for every type of item and it has not yet been done for the standards. I'm pretty sure we'll be able to make it fit, but we are doing things in priority order at this point. The "Abiding" beacon lasts 20 seconds longer at the moment (although these stations might get a revamp soon depending on feedback). Putting tooltips on the Psychic Powers, packs & consumables is significantly more complicated than for the other wargear, so while I'm hoping these get done in time, there is a good chance that other things will be prioritized in front of them.
There seems to be something wrong with the Eldar hitboxes, ive been constantly failing to tether the Stream of Corruption on them. Theres no obstacles between us, im casting it directly on them and it just wont target them. I dont have this problem when fighting SM and Orks, so im assuming its the hitboxes (since we were told their hitboxes are smaller).
So, @BrentEllison voice comms back when? That REALLY helps coordinate randoms and improves the experience.
Djemo believe it or not shoot at our feet. Our warlocks have the same issue that you have to shoot low to hit Eldar with tether effects.
