@BrentEllison three quick questions : is there an ETA for improvements on melee ? (many issues/modifications have been discussed, just wanted to know if something will arrive soon) it seems that many people (me included) have... doubts about Eldar faction current balancing, and are feeling the faction needs some buff in various subjects/scopes : do your metrics (come on, I know you have metrics !) confirm that feeling ? Are you waiting for more metrics prior to making any significant tweak ? as we won't have a Livestream this week, could you give some production update info on Eldar faction completion ? (animations, wargear, missing classes); we desperately need something to get our teeth into
So the Hormagaunts will be 100 Toughness and the Warriors will be 150? Which reminds me; when can we expect to see "vehicles" in the Garrison? An "immortal" Predator would be nice to have for testing Vehicles and Anti-Armour Weapons against. As Kaela Mensha Khaine said, it would be nice with a production update this week. A written one would be more than enough for me
I'm totally behind on answering the questions in the middle now. Anways, all the falloff stuff (like is present on guns) has a minimum distance and a maximum distance to go with its minimum value and maximum value.
First I wanna say thanks for all the work. I am really enjoying the game as a whole, and look forward to all the toys to come. That said, gonna take a break until the next patch to avoid the frustration of point and click sorcerer adventures and melee button mashers. But looking forward to jumping back in when things change again.
Not sure how long you've been playing (when you registered on the forum isn't generally accurate afaik), but if the answer is "not long," then stick around. There's a learning curve to go along with the other curves (damage, etc.) in this game. I remember being quite put out at times when I first started playing, but that evened out and then disappeared as I learned more of the game's mechanics.
I'm topping the scoreboard 8/10 games. (Destroy armor, take objectives, lots of points). Dire Avenger is actually a ton of fun right now, but the rest of the team complains about being underpowered (instead of getting in the tank with me). I really like power fists. And heavy bolters. And those are just in a rough spot right now. I thought melta spam was bad for powerfists, but something feels off about dbash and stunlock since the new patch. I say I won't play, but I probably will, in all honestly. The game looks fantastic for an Alpha, and I am really looking forward to getting myself a beaky helmet. I love my beaky helmet. What I need to do is find a group to play with. EDIT: Thanks though I appreciate the words of encouragement.
Lots of melee fixes in the next full patch, either next week or the following (I'm just a designer, I don't do schedules!). Eldar, along with everyone else are getting wargear that should be a huge improvement, as well as several more big deal psychic powers, and the Dark Reapers are getting a big boost with the Starshot Missiles and the Tempest Launcher. This is all in the next patch (and will be on Founder's well before that). Then they've still got 2 more classes coming. The Eldar were always going to be a bit behind coming in late like this, but we are aware of their shortcomings and have lots more to deliver.
Coming from primarily Valve levels of comms, this is a fantastic change. It is amazing actually hearing from folks. So, thank you. Any previews on the wargear stuff? Or is that something I am just gonna have to be patient for?
Well i never did say immediately, i just said faster then it currently applies it, cause if you try to use the SoC in close combat you arent gonna have a good time. The sentiment was making it less of a long range problem but also making an actual useful thing in close combat.
