I play both faction and in every match, you have more than 5 sorcerers... this afternoon, i played 2 games: 7 and 9 sorcerers.... Yesterday, i played as CSM, 6 sorcerers on blackbolt and to a certain time 9-10 on Maggon. Against MoN Sorcerer or Aspirant Sorcerer, you go with a PF, in 2 FA, there are down... well, that's "normally". In fact, you have 3 doing SoC and 2 others healing... That's strange to see so many people in only class... i know that you had that before with shieldbro, MoN, and now with the fire dragon (before hotfix). Really wonder why people bring in so many of the same class?
Both the health and toughness bonus from MoN were nerfed by 75% from the previous patch, and the LP cost was increased to 233%. This thing that you think MoN is, just isn't. Wargear is better flat out, and MoN prevents you from picking consumables and better weapons due to its new cost.
Did you ever play sorcerer before this patch? It's like night and day and it's been a long time coming. Couple that with the fact that traitor assault is considerably worse then it used to be, then it's no wonder more people are going sorcerer. It's too early to cry foul about them. Besides, if there are that many sorcerer's running around then CSM are going to have a harder time capping points. There's usually about 5 raptors in every game now too so that's maybe 3-4 cappers.
Yep, i did. Solely to healbot a MoN friends^^. Then it comes to melee, i agreed that it was an aberration. I agree with you that, with so many AS, it becomes hard to attack / retake points and i had the salty experience :/ But when it comes to defense like Maggon, Blackbolt or Harkus... this become a problem. I do hope that is only a "mode" effect and that people will come back to a better class disparity.
Traitor bolter with 50% toughness (anti bullet) is no good either. So if you face equal skill mirror class enemy - you are as good as dead. We all know SM are bolter favorite faction and devs said many times they want to encourage playing bolter. OK. How do you beat enemy who has 50% + defence against bolter? You equip plasma gun (?!) or nerfed melta (?!). So where is encouregment to take bolter to the field? And thats even cooler story rolls out - I dropped my shield play completely because chaos was crying that im cheating or I am shield trash or shield noob and so on. OK. I took simple rusty bolter and did good. I think some proper shield players did the same - maybe we really where cheating? Now shield is played even less, while all classes of chaos got MoN. The only thing is still keeping me and most of VM guys is possibility to kill eldar Bolter kills at least those!
However on maps where CSM cannot capture points this isn't an issue, and creates something of an imbalance. Especially when the Sorc's ability has that chain and range. If your squad is taking cover together the sorc can poison all of you.
Maggon assault is nor precisely the balanced map for judjing game balance. IMO, and i already said that, current CSM vs LSM balance must be closer to 50\50 regardless of all toys CSM have. Main shit is completely useless TA.
Whom are you trying to bullshit, you stopped playing SB cos it's not so op after the last patch and you can't no longer get your 40+ K\Ds. If you are so sensitive to chaos cries why didn't you stop playing SB when it was bugged as hell instead of telling us 'to use tactics', wise guy? The magic 50% you are talking about is 4\5 bolts difference, if that is to represent MoN toughness - it's a joke. And yeah, using plasma gun or melta doesn't hurt either, for chaos these were the only weapons that guaranteed any chance of success against bugged SBs for a long time so I don't see a reason LSM couldn't use a bit of them as well if they feel it's so necessary. What you do is basically you blow everything out of proportions, play like a space marine should and stop whining cos you don't have any reasons for that.
To be honest even nerfed the SB can still be a bitch, yesterday i got a 35/7(and i suck at mellee).Though i was using a chainsword with it.
