so meltas are going to be useless now? wont wont be able to kill infantry and if you have a build up your going to die only faster against vehicles without doing anything. shoulda just gone with the space marine version imo
Ah, ok -thanks. And no mistake: even for what's there it's clear what's coming is going to be good. Hawk flight feels immensely promising, fluid and graceful. The lasblaster's other issues aside it's burst fire mode is an excellent sniping tool. I like what I think I see coming, confidence is high.
Actually, one other thing: are the matches live monitored after a patch? Because that could be effecting performance as severely as I am experiencing. I am really not set up to be streaming anything, intended or otherwise.
The ASC feels a lot worse than on UAT, but since nothing is changed, then I will just blame the fact that I have to play on US servers again. Btw, why does the Dire Avenger still have access to the Melta Bomb? Or "Fusion Bomb" as the Eldar should technically call it It is the "heat seeking" part of the missiles that takes effect, but sadly they seem to be tuned towards hitting invisible ghosts instead of enemies
Bit of PvE feedback on melee and visual feedback. Melee is very difficult to use against nids. Most take 2-3 swipes with a chainsword and they tend to not react to it at all. Smaller nids will need a stagger when hit by tier 3-1 melee weapons since it does take a considerable amount of time to dispose of them. Power attacks with anything except a knife or Heavy weapon should one shot the smaller nids. Warriors should be slightly stunned by d-bash, but other than that it is understandable that they don't react to being hit with light attacks. Heavy attacks may make them flinch. For ranged, nids should flinch when shot (with exception of warrior) just as some visual feedback that the player is hitting their target. Only feedback of hitting a target currently is purple blood splatters, which are rather hard to see in the dark maps. Melta is currently useless against nids. Only reason I could see it is to use against warriors.
Not really... if you're getting big performance issues (as opposed to lag) that you didn't get before then please send in a ticket. We've had some reports of performance drops since the last UAT which is a big surprise that we're not seeing internally.
We tuned the reaper launcher to have more zig-zag at a distance for cool-looking multi-charges that aren't guaranteed instant death. We could probably tune them to be more accurate and charge faster.
Not sure why but the codex calls them Melta bombs! Anyway, we just hadn't gotten around to removing it, I'll do that now.
In all our tests melee has been quite effective against the Hormagaunts. However, there was something we recently fixed where the system thought you "clanged" off Hormagaunts. It's possible that that slipped into the live build.
