Game Design Update - July 14, 2016

    Dark Reapers and Fire Dragons should both be used to support the Dire Avengers against shield marines, in the case of the Dark Reapers they'll be better at it with the Tempest Launcher (next full patch). Plasma Grenades and Fusion Pistols are handy backup against them though (at least, that's the intention).

    For the melee Eldar, they have limited weapon types from the brand but we'll be giving their weapons wider statistical variation through weapon bases and mods. This means you'll be able to make Power Swords and Scorpion Chainswords more forceful and penetrating than Space Marine Power Swords and Chainswords. That said, a Banshee's Power Sword maximum force/penetration will still be lower than a Power Axe's maximum force/penetration, but Eldar will have other advantages meant to make up for this (agility, faster stamina regen, stealth, banshee screams, etc).

    I assume you mean the Fusion Pistol. It's more than ridiculous... and it'll be fixed in the hotfix.

  5. I normally don't reply on threads but what happened to the Chaos voice taunts???! Word bearers sounds like a gnome on steroids and Night Lords now sounds like darth vader after smoking and drinking all night.

    Not happy with the TTK, it's way too fast for 40k and PVE.

  7. Plasma rifle seems to be pretty strong this patch. Could just be the decreased TTK, but I feel like tissue paper every time I go up against one.

    +1 for the lock-on being slightly broken. Works 35-50% of the time. When it does work, it's either off or locks on to a player on a level under you/straight up too far away from you.

    Eldar Fire Dragons have the ability to equip a melta bomb in load outs. Is this intended? A placeholder for their own version?

    Overall melee feels a bit wonky right now. Like every attack is sliding off each other. The biggest thing I noticed is the lack of distinct impacts and melee ques (clangs). It makes it hard to know when your winning or when your losing a melee engagement. Just feels even more inconsistent than previous patches. Like the the lunge attack from JPA feels like it is beating Dbash in a durability battle, which doesn't seem right.

    Also did you guys increase the minimum height for a ground slam? It feels like I have to get to the apex of my jump now before I'm allowed to slam.

    Note: Lock-on is a 50/50 right now on Live. Sometimes it works, sometimes it is cancer. Also the soft lock crap. It is making me do some funky stuff. Need to make soft lock an option. Let me decide if I want help guiding my blade (Hard lock) or let me flail around like a monkey WITHOUT soft lock.

    wait... why? Shouldn't power attack be the only thing that beats Dbash and causes more durability damage to the person D bashing?
