Seems I was not clear enough! 2 things: - You bought Captain Pack, you get access to the modules in January, even if you buy a Captains Pack in December! - You where among the first to sign up for a founders pack, no matter which one, you will be the first ones to be selected for pre-alpha and maybe alpha tests (depending when they are ofc). Now if we don't get enough variety of hardware through lets say the first 500 founders, we might consider taking those 500 and then select for the same testing event from the second 500 another 100 with specific hardware. Makes sense? For the next test session we will select the first 1000, the next session the first 2500 etc...
So basically the hardware sentiment was more referring on your end? As in people like me (amongst the first to buy, and also a Captain) will still get into the early tests mentioned first irrelevant of the hardware but if you see that this test group (people like me) dont have the adequate range in different hardware you will expand the testing further to encompass more people (and possibly more hardware variations)?
yes - we still have first come first serve - but let's say all of them have nvidia cards (the first 500) then we will still add a few extra with AMD cards, just to get more test results.
i never got the impression like i was getting beta access on day one of the founders program. surely some website didn't post such a thing.

no it's not ok: people buy the 25 june instead of at january exactly for :"first to come first to serve" if someone with a different pc spec get invited for the first alpha and buyed the game the 30 june because the people that buy the game earlyer have all the same graphic card it's not ok. it's not a "beta signup" it "buy the game NOW for alpha don't wait or you lose alpha"
Plenty of time to plan that "family trip".. or so you tell your Employers... that "family trip" that just happens to coincide with the launch of EC.
Before releasing the client to founders, actually make sure it works. There have been times where the game clients dont work at all, that really shouldn't happen, before you release the beta, get a dev to get their gaming computer, download the client sent to them the same way you would for us, get them to download it and run it. Sort out launching bugs asap, its the worst kind of bug imo.
