I think the monkeys in charge of balance have been eating too much paste. Part of me wants to spend the time and effort to write a constructive article pointing out what I feel is broken and why but that has been done by many other player to no avail. I spend the few hours a day I get to game requeueing over and over to not get an Eldar or Ork match. Playing against them isn't fun it's just broken. I knew power fists were broken when I spent a few matches as a raptor with one exclusively mashing right click like a troglodyte and killing all but the best Dbash spammers. Why do the tiny space elves get to be harder to kill than Orks? And are Orks are way harder to kill than a Space marine... I've been following this game since the beginning and I've gotten over ten friends to buy this steaming turd of a game and none of them play. So much potential thrown out the window. Every time I play the game something is broken and ruins the fun. Another let down fan,
The game isn't as unbalanced as you probably believe it is. Sure there are some weapons and equipment that are out of sync from the rest of equipment from the game and need serious adjusting. The core "unbalanced" feel that most of us feel in the game is due to issues more complicated than basic DPS or Health and Armor ratios. Many unbalanced issues are due to animation issues, invulnerability frames, consistent framerate and server lag issues and how they effect things such as hitboxes and melee resolutions. Many EC guns DPS has been tested by gamers and they arent as off the charts ridiculous as popular belief implies. The more you delve into the "game unbalanced" issue the more you find that its a complicated mess. For example; -Certain ork melee weapons can charge power attacks faster, which is not intended -Certain eldar animations in specific situations can cause invulnerability to stun effects -SM Jumpack class can get out of stuns much sooner than other classes. -Certain weapons wont do ridiculous DPS but have other statistics such as poison or burn or AoE that is making the weapon perform above its intended level. -Dbash, fast attack, power attack counter system doesn't work in certain situations and outcomes are greatly effected by latency, sever lag, & animation issues. My point is even though the game is unbalanced, its closer to balanced than it has been in all of the games development. As a last note I have to say I am typically disappointed at the rate and quality of balance fixes. After being a gamer for so long I have to say I'm used to games being more polished than this. Lets face reality though, its only ever been this way with Eternal Crusade. Things are as they are no matter how upset we get.
