The Ensign let out a sigh as the Lieutenants began to clear out though of course there was a final question from Baron. “Initial estimates cannot be counted on as an operation of this size and nature have never been attempted before.” They said before Daruk came over to him to which he just nodded nervously and almost fell over from the pat on the back. It was then the briefing room was left empty besides the lone Ensign as the Lieutenants went to the designated hanger. Though the shining ancient hallways looked the same no matter what part of the station they were in the newly placed signs along the walls and perhaps a helpful guard or two would lead them to the hanger. Their ship was a Ruk manufactured transport that was also being loaded up with supplies meant for the fleet. From the looks of it mostly rations, thanks to the variety of species that have volunteered the fleet had to stock up on various kinds of food to ensure everyone had something that fit their dietary needs. Not very glamorous but no less important than weapons or anything else that would need to be brought along. Once aboard they would find the living arrangements for their week long voyage were rather meger. But at least they each had their own room and didn’t have the sleep with the crew. A week of moderately comfortable space travel later they had finally arrived as they exited the Wormhole gate and immediately caught sight of Kikral Prime’s sun. A white star was at the center of the system constantly shining its light on everything but then again that’s what stars do. And of course there was Kikral or at least that is what normally would be seen but at the moment it had a massive fleet in its orbit. Thousands of ships ranging from the primitive but effective Auger mining vessels to state of the art Starlen craft capable of in atmosphere operations as well as void warfare, yet the assortment of Starlen ships also bore the obvious signs of emergency repairs, refits unable to be made clean-looking due to a lack of time and formerly mothballed craft pressed into service once again. From the smallest escort class vessel that could hold a FTL drive to the massive Wessari Carrier with the name Taurus painted on the side. As their ship approached the fleet could pick out smaller details like the small Collective manufactured Shuttles moving between ships delivering supplies and personnel between ships. The small void capable craft lacked any welding marks or panels as they had made out of a single piece molded from Collective flow metal within one of the massive hub ships. Of course the engines and smaller things had to be inserted after that but overall they were quite sleek and interesting little craft that contrasted with the other larger ships which had to be made using more conventional methods. After around half a standard hour their transport switched to its maneuvering thrusters as it came into dock with the Taurus. They were requested to hold onto something as the artificial gravity wouldn’t protect from the sudden change in motion of the ship as it had to counter its velocity so it wouldn’t ram into the much larger ship. After said maneuvering and several close calls with almost crushing a shuttlecraft the transport was able to dock and began moving supplies into the ship and the Lieutenants were escorted off of the ship by Wessari guards still wearing the uniforms of the Hegemony. Once inside the ship they would find that the insides of the ship were traversed via a complex system of trams that ran on magnetic rails that suspended them in the air. The following train ride found them on the Ship’s bridge where Admiral Zal was standing with his hands behind his back in front of a large window overlooking Kikral Prime. The lush jungle world with sparse cities breaking up it’s massive forests, once a favored vacation spot within the Starlen Imperium made the emergency capital of its remnants. The old Wessari with his fading dark grey turned around as he heard the doors close behind the Lieutenants. “Ah Welcome to Theta fleet and the Taurus, Lieutenants.” His voice was somewhat quiet given his age but demanded respect. “As you could have guessed I am Fleet Admiral Zal, I will be your commanding officer during our excursion into the cloud. We are still in the middle of getting crew and supplies into the correct ships but we are expected to finally push off within the hour. As you could imagine the logistics of this operation make the Guildwar look like a summer stroll. Nonetheless if you have any questions for me I am able to answer them and if you don’t feel like talking to an old man then you may explore the ship, it is quite a fine vessel.” @Maleth @Wata @Vulpas @High_Adept_Zeth @Kalle @SpaceHulk
Daruk was first to approach, presenting himself to the Wessari Admiral and bashing his chest with a closed fist, right over the heart. "Fleet Admiral," the lieutenant answered. "Lieutenant Daruk, it is an honor to meet you in the flesh, sir. You may recall, I commanded the Goras during the Guild Wars," he said, a tinge of reverence in the marine-dressed officer's voice.
Jakora then approached the Wessari Admiral and presented herself as she had done upon Hyperion Station, knees bent with right claw-limb and arm across the towards the face. She then stood up and said "Jakora Ash'lima. I suppose I should see the vessel and how it compares to Starlen engineering, while you have your adoring fan to take care of." She tilted her head towards Daruk, as she then turned to leave the bridge and start exploring the Wessari vessel.
After an uneventful trip, a change of pace was more them welcome for Nazara and her impatient watcheyes. So much have been seen, yet that was not the reason for her purpose or existence. To serve would be a pleasure, and here she can perform those duties. Drinking in every part of the massive super-carrier with an enthusiasm of the giddy little girl at the cusp of puberty, she marveled at the wonder that is the multiracial Federation. Truly, something truly benefical happened to this galaxy when the Visitors came, hey united us all. Though this sentiment she kept to herself, lest she agitated Jakora. Presenting herself third to the Admiral she spoke: "Lieutenant Nazara, Fleet Admiral Zal." With her arms clasped at her back, she waited patiently for the two Wessari to finish their conversation. While doing so, she feasted on the marvelous vista that the window provided at the planet.
The Rukian ship had been a simple, pleasant surprise for Cero. A brief reminder of home. Since he was on the Warpath the call for battle was greater, thoughts of home weren't the focus of his mind during the trip. On board the Taurus and facing the Wessari admiral Zal, Cero Thunderhunter planted his spear with a thud on the floor and greeted. "Ruk, Zal. Pleasure to be aboard, Cero Thunderhunter is my name."
To his displeasure, Habevi found himself on another alien ship but it also wasn't much a surprise to him. He stepped towards the Admiral with a loud thud, his arms firmly placed at his sides "Habevi Jhatka of the Auger Oligarchy at your service. Sir..." He hated the fact that he had to be in service to an alien, but it was for the betterment for the galaxy so he ignored thoughts.
@Kalle @High_Adept_Zeth @Wata @SpaceHulk @Vulpas The Admiral smiled as Daruk introduced himself before returning the salute albeit more gently given his age. “Ah yes the young man who suddenly found himself the commander of the ship after its bridge was hit. It is good to see Federation has eyes for obvious talent, like my second in command. Brilliant tactician even though his race was only given faster than light travel not too long ago.” He said before turning to the rest of the group and gave them a respectful nod even to the Starlen as she left. “Yes it is good to the see the best and brightest our galaxy has to offer. Now as I said the fleet is expected to finally shove off within an hour or so as crew and supplies are moved into the right ships. There’s not much you can do other than go to your cabins and get settled in or simply explore the ship. This vessel shall be your home during the entire operation so I suggest becoming familiar with it.” He said before turning back around to the view window as he felt there was nothing else to speak about at the moment. @Maleth Jakora would take one of the trams deeper into the ship from the expressways used for transporting men and equipment into the recreational areas. More specifically she ended up in the training area though it wasn’t a simple shooting range it was a large open room designed more like some kind gymnasium though much larger than what most would have expected. A sign near the entrance said the room had a maximum capacity of ten thousand. A relatively small number for a ship with a crew of millions but this also wasn’t the only training area. The sign also said this one is designated for officers but given what was going on at the moment the area was scarcely active. Several Wessari and other species were jogging around a large track that surrounded the empty area. Others seemed to be preparing for a sparring match against some kind of training drone designed to be similar to the common Morphos Converted. A Starlen veteran seemed to be instructing a class on hand to hand combat with the creatures. Elsewhere there was also a small shooting range that had been set up with panels that seemed to come out of the floor. Again mostly Wessari but a couple of other species, they seemed to be using a form of training rifle that didn’t use actual ammunition. The targets were just simple stationary circular targets as the group seemed to just be passing time. The last was a group of six people Jakora could feel were psychic with some kind of ball made of a chitin like substance. She could feel a rather strong presence among them coming from a smaller creature wearing a heavy black cloak. @Wincent Elsewhere on the ship in the main hanger a shuttle much larger than the more common shuttle as its occupant wasn’t able to fit inside a shuttle meant for humanoid creatures. The doors on the back of the shuttle opened and a large boarding ram extended to the floor allowing the insectoids inside the walk down on their many legs. A Wessari carrying a tablet walked over to the Sinthin Queen and her body guards. “I’m sorry for your delayed arrival Lieutenant, there was an issue finding a shuttle capable of transporting you and your bodyguard’s comfortably.” They said before having to walk away to assist the loading crews as they unloaded supplies and equipment that their shuttle was carrying. As they stood their for a moment many other shuttles came and went unloading supplies and men into and off of the ship. The fleet was scheduled to leave within and hour and yet there was still so much activity going on between the ships.
"Yes it is good to the see the best and brightest our galaxy has to offer. Now as I said the fleet is expected to finally shove off within an hour or so as crew and supplies are moved into the right ships. There’s not much you can do other than go to your cabins and get settled in or simply explore the ship. This vessel shall be your home during the entire operation so I suggest becoming familiar with it.” As the Admiral finished his introductions, Nazara saluted and added to her comrades: "I`ll go on ahead and familiarize myself further with service onboard Wessari-designed starship. You three (?) are welcome to join me." she added before departed from the bridge, alone or otherwise. She intended to use the time left before departure as best as she possibly can. That, and she did not require rest at all, so at the critical times such as these, getting to know others is of vital if not crucial importance. After all, the might gathered here was awe-inspiring but it may not be enough in the end. With that sentiment she wondered about the Alpha and Beta fleets respectivly and all the races gathered there.
Looking upon the Training area she had found herself in, Jakora looked at the jogging with disinterest given that it weren't exactly the sort of thing she needed to worry about being on top of considering her genetic modifications. The rifle shooting was perhaps more interesting, if only because she might turn it from passing time into something a little more productive. The two parts of the area that really grabbed the Royal Guard's attention was firstly the training drone, to which she felt she could make a far more realistic experience for the trainees that could put them in good steed for the actual thing. The second part that she was interested was the strong psychic that she could sense, and the ball of something chitin-looking, and so she wandered towards the Psychic and the chitin-looking ball to see what was going on.
Novi calmly nods towards the Wessari. "I know. I have no quarms regarding time." Her voice is strangely soft, coming from such a insectoid, as a queen she had been made for being able to both work as a diplomat and communicator afterall. She continued forwards, moving towards her designated "cabin". Of course, a Sinthin Queen won't have a normal cabin, due to their shape and overall size. However she had been designated a room, which had been "furnished" after their needs. The guards walking besides her calmly, silently. Novi's carapace gleams in the lights, the blue shimmering colour making quite the impressive sight, theguards on the other hand, have a solid gold colour, shimmering the same, catching alot of visual attention, itentionally of course.
