"The Hegemony's own commands Theta Fleet," Daruk replied. "You will have plenty of opportunity to see Wessari military doctrines and strategems in the flesh," he assured her. His enthusiasm was modest, but sincere. He cast a look towards the conference table. "... Mhrm... I look forward to seeing what plan Fleet Command has prepared for us to execute," he mused.

As the Korin drop ship entered the hanger it would begin opening its side and back doors allowing passengers outside to see the land strip they were on, one large figure in the back with several other larger figures looked out all silent each judging in there own eyes the federation they would now be serving with like they did there home, mixed feeling amoungsted them all some having home sickness, others the sense of ambition to make more of a name for themselves, for the one in the middle of them all four hooves on the plating of there drop ship, he felt more anxious ready to get this on and to adapt to some of the changes that were needed.

As they finally landed with the Drop ship touching down many began exiting some bustling out others going for equipment and crates they brought along. As it began to disperse Boran began getting ready to move to the briefing room, His legs and hoofs began moving with a clip clopping and heavy thuds as he began to move he towered only a few with there being other former assault squad members with him and a few pure breed korins with them being the only ones to look up at him.

"Ahh dont worry big guy youll be fine" Jorvis said in his head only causing him to snort as he walked towards the breifing room, His commando armor was fully kitted out and his weapons were holstered the only one being only slighlty out was his lase axe that was attached to his side flank. passing all of the aliens and odd races Boran would only take a few pictures with his cyber eye as incognito as he could making notes on each race and what he may need to learn about them, as he approached the Briefing room he found himself surrounded by several races many he heard about in a briefing, Stelaran, Syncronized, Auguer, and Ruk.

"Lieuteant Boran, reporting for duty" Boran said looking to them, A slighty ball of light began taking form in front of him, "How rude of you to forget, to mention me. Hello all I am Joris, his partner in battle." Joris said announcing himself taking form into a Korin, he had only a slightly playfull expression in his eye as he looked to his freind, his own avatar imagine being a Korin in military fatigues.
  3. As the Lieutenants took their seats and spoke among themselves for a few moments the doors to the room close automatically and new figure entered from. A Morian wearing a white Federation uniform walked to the head of the table and cleared their throat before speaking. “Hello I am Ensign Ilianto and I am here to brief you on your duties as Federal Lieutenants within Theta fleet.” They said in a slightly nervous voice as they found a remote for the table’s built in holo projector. With the click of a button a map of the galaxy materialized in the center of the table. A line was drawn roughly a third of the way down from the most northern parts representing the amount of galaxy had been taken. Then three symbols materialized below this line, each being of an ancient human language. Alpha was within the Synchronized Collective, Beta was in the Tejet Communion, and Theta was within the remains of the Starlen Imperium.

“A-as said you have been assigned to Theta whose mission is to reclaim the territory lost by the Starlen Imperium and the surrounding previously unclaimed systems. Th-the fleet is scheduled its journey from the staging point above Kikral Prime in a standard week. The Admiral assigned to Theta is Morag Zal, a Wessari veteran of the Morian Guild war. His second in command is an Auger but the name of Govel Baaj and the Flag ship is a Wessari built carrier designated Taurus. The fleet itself has been outfitted for a variety of situations that it may face within the cloud.” As the Morian spoke holo portraits of the Admiral and his second in command materialized along with a rotating model of the flag ship with it’s name having been painted onto the side.

“As the Lieutenants assigned to this fleet you are expected to be able to be adaptable and capable of taking on any mission asked of you. More specifically military roles during invasions of infested worlds. Political roles to assist with negotiations with possible surviving empires or rogue entities within the cloud. Exploration and scientific roles are also possible as the research teams within the fleet may be in need of the information you learn as you fight the enemy. Other roles that were not listed are also possible in different events but those stated are the ones most likely.” Then Ensign paused for a breath of air as they has spoken all of that at once.

“Ar-are there any questions?” They said as they caught their breath.

Listening to the briefing, Jakora was disappointed to hear that neither the fleet leader nor the second in command was a Starlen (which was a particularly grievous error to her in the case of the second in command who was very likely to be their boss) but there wasn't much she could do about that, except prove that a Starlen should have been put in charge through her actions.
However, now was the time to ask and see what information she could pry from the Ensign.

So the Royal Guard asked "So, who's making up the bulk of Theta Fleet's forces, any specialist additions to those forces and where's Theta's first destination?"
However, she then decided to tap into the power of her mind, sending a telepathic second message to the other 'Lieutenants' in the room ( @Wata , @Kalle , @Vulpas , @SpaceHulk , @High_Adept_Zeth ) "Seriously? They put an Auger as the second in command!? It's like giving a irresponsible hatching command of a Battleship!"

Lieutenant Daruk of the Wessari turned towards the Starlen and leveled a flat stare on the avian creature. "If you have concerns, then voice them, but in the spirit of goodwill and honesty; I believe that Admiral Morag Zal has seen purpose and potential in this Auger. Their species, if fresh to the galaxy, has nonetheless proven themselves of sound mind and body, and in the Hegemony we treasure merit," he declared in his booming baritone. "Moreover, and I say this with the greatest possible respect, perhaps it would be good for you to accept that your people has been humbled. Perhaps the Auger have yet to show their quality and prove they can win this war, but so far your people has only proven they can lose it."

All this, and not once did the Wessari slip into fury. His composure was perfect. "It is not your witchcraft or my brute strength that will win this war, it is a plan devised and executed. And this plan may come from any mind gathered in this effort. So I suggest that you dispense with the bigotry and join our effort, rather than undermine it with insubordination."

Thinking his mind was playing tricks on him, Habevi made a slight grunt and looked around the room for a moment not knowing what just happened. He then realized that to voice was the same as Jakora's. He then locked his eyes on her with an irritated glare, although you could not see it under his helmet. Trying not to openly cause an argument, he thought to himself under the impression that Jakora could hear him. "Do you have a problem with Auger you little beaky twit. Govel was one of the best Fleet overseers the Auger navy has ever seen and it's not surprising that he became second command of the Theta fleet, I don't see you doing anything to get where he is now."

Through all that Habevi still had no idea if Jakora could hear him or not. He wasn't even sure if she even said it in the first place, so he just sat there, his angry glare not faltering from Jakora's face. At this point Habevi had almost forgotten what was told in the brief.

Cero slammed the table, once he received the mind message. He stood up and pointed a finger at the Starlen.
"That is the LAST time you prod anything into my mind without permission, slaver!" Thunderhunter thumped his spear once on the floor to emphasize his point.
"I concur with Lieutenant Daruk. I do not enjoy your sight in the least, but this crisis is won by co-operation, not by archaic views of delusional superiority. As such, we will bleed and kill together on the field of battle, for we have no choice."
Cero sat down having said his piece.
"What is our first action against the cloud?"

Boran looked around confusingly for a moment towards the other lieutenants in the room not noticing for a few moments that it possible one of them was psychic till he heard the familiar voice of his partner in his head.

"You alright there looked a bit confused seems other in the room are talking about witchery possibly psychics similar to some of the psychics in the cosmo league, I couldn't see or detect anything from here did you here anything?" Boran spoke under his breath a reply. "yes" Causing Joris to go silent, "Its likely the other stelaran lieutenant from the looks and reply shes getting"

Joris spoke into Borans head causing him to give glance at the stelaran for a moment deciding to see if she could hear him and possibly his reply if so this could possibly be a valuable asset on the ground, "Truly I do not know neither this augurs skills nor of the skills of the first adimiral, If they have put him in command there is likely a reason for it whether for skills or for something else we will only see by learning more of him and possibly seeing him in the future." Boran thought seeing if the stellaran could still hear him.

looking to the Morian Boran opened his mouth, "What will our equipment stores be like and what equipment will we likely see on board Theta fleet along with armorments and aerospace vehicles? Will we also be running into any experimental tech from the science teams looking into better ways to clear infested planets?" Boran asked looking to the Morian Boran felt some tension in the room surface as it seems the mind message to the other lieutenants did not seem to end well and open up more aggression then what was likely anticipated.

Glaring at the Wessari and the Ruk with her eyes lingering particularly upon the Ruk given his request for her to stay out of his mind, Jakora turned to the Wessari and said:
"However I doubt that merit alone will be enough to gain victory. You need experience in battling the Morphos, and the Auger are, to my knowledge, untested by any meaningful interstellar warfare with another power. So I doubt any merit seen in his abilities is going to translate into meaningful tactical advantages."

"As for saying we lost...." The Starlen paused, swallowing her pride. "Yes, it is true the Imperium is not as mighty as it was, and we've suffered for our arrogance to think we alone could stop the threat." However, her words became laced with a cold fury over the suggestion that they could only lose a war, a feeling that was made much more clear in her voice by her control over her powers slipping away as she turned to address everyone in the room.

"But at least we spent our energy fighting and dying against the Morphos and buying everyone their precious time to try ending this threat for good, unlike those who still have the luxury of having their worlds untainted by our common foe. You all get to be glory hounds that bask in a glorious victory, and we have to pick up all that's left of the pieces of our species."

"So I suggest you, the Ruk and everyone else remember who's going to enjoy victory without any suffering on their part, and who's left picking up the ashes of an empire irrespective of how this venture ends."

With that said, the Royal Guard ceased speaking to let her drawn ire simmer down and become more... reasonable, in temperament, which entailed not replying to anyone willing to test her mind and reasserting her control over herself... Perhaps she should have paid more attention to keeping a calm mind, back when she was being taught by the Circle in the use of her powers.

"Excellent," Daruk concluded. "I understand that the rumors of Starlen ferocity were not exaggerated. Rest assured, your worlds shall be reclaimed," the Wessari promised smoothly.
