I don't know if there has been a thread made about this, but I'll start one now if it hasn't. As silly as it sounds, will there be a friends/contact list at the beginning of the game or is it going to be another Global Agenda? I think having a contact list is a very important feature of any game. Most games that are steam or origin based really don't matter as much since have the overlay, but for mmorpgs and the such they are an integral part of the game. It would be neat if you could add friends via account to see all their characters unless they add you by character to where you only see their character when they are online. I would also like to be able to see where my friends are and possibly be able to quick travel to them or atleast NEAR them so I can join the battle they are in.
I think this is a must-have, and it shouldn't be that hard to get working. But I don't think showing them on the map or especially quick-travelling should be implemented, though I'm not that sure on the first one. Another thing for Beta I suppose, it might somehow be game breaking.
i think this was planed from day one for EC ^^ is there any MMO without a friendlist? but good to remind the devs to do it ^^
With it quite possibly being cross platform (PC, PS4 & Xbox One) this could rather easily affect the friends lists in game if I'm not mistaken. So I'm hoping sony + Microsoft strike a good deal that'll allow a full cross platform game with no or near no restrictions. But don't take my word for anything haha, no tech expert, just words for thought.
Lol more seriously, i think you hit the nail on the head. If its done, and i cant see it not being done, then it could very well be something groundbreaking if they manage to keep the game cross platform. I could only imagine seeing cross platform friendslists being in EC though, not externally supported by Sony or Microsoft
If the friends list is applied within EC and not externally supported by Sony, Microsoft and whomever else I'd like to see your EC friends list both in game and on the EC app (if there is one), if the person on your EC friends list is on another game it'd also be very swell to see what game or service they are on (this function should be changed in the players privacy settings). But well that's a bonus, any friends list would do providing they show cross platform players.
Is it possible to create a second account for EC if you're using XBox One or PS4? Because I don't see any problem with cross-platform friend lists, you would just add the ingame account. This would actually be a must-have though, I don't want three separate characters for all three Platforms.
