My idea is to have some requisition loss when you kill teammate (there could be more, added time to spawner etc..). And killed player would have option to !punish = kills your killer and !forgive = let's him live. Works fine in bf3.
what if the "victim" was responsible for the incident and not the "killer"? and requisition loss isnt enough "rich" players could kill whole squads and not be affected(assuming ofc a character can hoard requsition)
A little RP loss would be ok. The real punishment would be a weapons lock, where you can not even pull the trigger.
Guys, how about these: The Garry's solution really has no flaws, it would effectively stop AoE spam + it would stop trolling and accidental TKs -All win, the ff supporters and opponents alike. Do you see any disadvantages of such a solution? I don't. We must always look for a compromise, leaving one group of players empty handed for the sake of others will never be good for business.
Without knowing more details of what the enviroment and game mechanics will be like, certainly I can't make any specific recomendations, no. I could perhaps have worded that better. I am used to playing games that included friendly fire though, and it's never been a major drawback for me. Yes, I've had idiots abuse it a time or two, but I report them, ignore them and get on with my own playing. I've been killed, and killed others, through accidental friendly fire. A quick tell of 'sorry' generally smooths that over, in my experience.
