We....don't know. Honestly. We have no idea the difference between assist xp and kill xp right now. Not to mention that as a Dev marine firing a heavy bolter you're getting every assist there is to get because you're hitting everybody.
wha what about if it's IG?? do we keep firing then? the commissar would agree.. lol just throwing some light humor out there.
This brings up a question, why do so many people want to play as a Commisar? I mean do people want to shoot their allies that much. (Sorry for off-topic)
Because not all commissars are cunts, just most of them. Ever read Gaunt? Gaunt and Hark are badasses. Strict, but good. Everybody wants to be Ibram Gaunt when they get done reading those books. I know I do.
I think this is the most awesome thing I've ever seen. Also for commissars dont forget Ciaphas Cain, hes badass even when he doesn't want to be. As for kills and assists you could reward people based on the amount of damage done and give a 1.5 multiplier for the killing blow.
This guy right here knows whats up! Gaunt's Ghosts man..well i guess we derailed enough. Anyways commissars would get bonus xp for offing their own.. lol. On a serious note I would love to hear what the devs have to say about all this and FF as a whole. What is the actual system? how will punishment mechanics work? if it is already implemented
FF worked just fine in RO1, ARMA, and OFP. So again those games support my side, not yours. It also worked just fine in Battlefield 2 (where the only penalty was a score reduction that could be negated by the forgiveness prompt), Project Reality (which had a stacking spawn penalty in addition to score penalties), and WWII Online. Unless your definition of an "FF problem" is "one person gets TKed", in which case you might want to stick to small arena shooters because massive combined arms games are not for you. You know why? Because even without FF you can TK by crashing vehicles, because those count as environmental damage (and generally your vehicle exploding automatically kills anyone inside for obvious reasons). This has already been addressed multiple times: that's the point. You get your turn, they get theirs. You can try to pick off a guy right next to them (I often use tank shells to gib MAX units that are about to murderize friendly infantry in close quarters), but you know the risk of doing so. That's called gameplay. I see somebody hasn't been told about the four point scale. On a scale of 1 to 10, games are usually rated somewhere between 7 and 10. 5 is reserved for shitty P2W cash grabs, getting lower than that practically requires effort (see: The War Z, a 3/10). Hey, you're the one with the tentacles, heretic. Your icon still looks like an Ogryn though.
