I believe you mean that 80% of this thread is nonsense arguing, lack of valid points, restating the obvious and/or already stated statistics/facts/opinions and that this thread has basically lost all relevance by now in addition to spawning more chaotic children on the forums.
Later guys it has been fun reading all this and commenting back and forth but I've said my piece in which i felt had a good opportunity for a change of pace and maybe take the thread back to a discussion about mechanics. I'm going to the ork forums, the're funny. lolz
"AIM FOR THE JETPACK, BROTHERS!!" ...or take me with you to those funny gits in the Ork forums. lol With friendly fire, there shall be accidents. Some intentional...others less so. Friendly fire isn't the only way someone can grief you as they're just used some other game function to achieve this. Does that absolve FF of it's downsides? No. But it also means that regardless how it's implemented, some people are horrible members of the community. If there isn't friendly fire it leads people to being lazy. You can't control how someone can play either way, but it doesn't mean you should block it for those that want it. I've played a ton of games with friendly fire across almost all gaming genres....and it's not as huge a problem as people make it out to be. It can be incredibly frustrating but most occurrences are rare. As long as Behaviour is ready to step up and take charge of grievous offenders that are using it as a griefing tool then it has a check. I'd like a modicum of skill to remain in game, and this is one way I wish it to show itself. I want to be proud of the people I'm playing with that can shoot well or have a decent tactical sense. I'm willing to deal with those who aren't as good and hope that maybe I can help those few who can be helped get better at the game and just gaming in general. If they like griefing.....they better be able to run faster then my bolter can spew glorious purpose.
It was pretty much covered in the first few pages. Was just me and others trying to explain something that he didn't understand or didn't want to.
the dev confirmed that the friendly fire is in the game. Some people agree, other think that other solution can be better: in particolar about the melee, EC is not only a ranged game, is also heavy melee (50/50) so is not like other fps or tps. That create different situation and different gameplay. So for some people FF must be off with various option, no ff in melee or melee stagger when try to hit ally, or ff can't kill and a lot of other idea.
