Free To Play ---> Pay To Win (Is it the start of bad things to come?)

I guess I need to brush up on my internet terminology since I was under this stupid idea that pay to win means that you have a insurmountable advantage verse other players where as the definition being used in this thread seems to be if there is any weapon that gives any advantage to any class then the game is pay to win regardless of how minor the advantage or even if you use the class with that "advantage"

I have the AC in question (founder and all) and while the one havoc build I have is a las cannon one as I don't enjoy playing havoc i'm one of those evil pay to win people simply from having it in my inventory

Next time I shoot someone up with my venerable bolter or I slice someone up with my power sword after woods I can now tell them not to feel bad as I'm a pay to win player

Guys, come on. The AG is OP as fuck and you know it. I mean, one time I shot a guy with it and the heat element gave him a sunburn! Can you believe that. I mean, I bet if I shot him enough times he may have eventually gotten melanoma and that shit's serious. Dude could have died like 20 years down the road from that.

Please ban this horribly OP weapon, lest that 5 heat element gives everyone everywhere skin cancer.

Really though, the heat element is WORTHLESS and for a trade-off the AG shoots tracers that shows everyone exactly where you are. It's not any better than the regular AC, you just get it to look swag.

I'm officially refuse to play in first day of F2P. I was killed by own teammates 17 times in row. I'm not sure, but i think, they took me by blood angel. (We played against Orcs)

What's the difference between an official refusal to play and a unofficial one out of curiosity
  5. Well Blood Angels are tainted after all, do you feel the red thirst yet?

Doesn't matter how big or small the advantage is, An advantage is an advantage. The venerable weapons are simply reskins.

The AG is a MC AC with an extra burning affect. It grants an extra source of damage that a free player cannot acquire without adding any downsides at all.

As per the old definition yes it does matter whether an advantage is big, small or non-existant

Please google the meaning of the word insurmountable

Speaking as a founder if your all going to start whining pay to win, I want a hell of a lot bigger advantage for my money :p

Don't know how much more clear I can make this...IT DOES NOT HAVE AN ADVANTAGE OVER THE AC.

The couple hp of fire damage it causes does not matter, because you will be dead before it even comes into account. All it does is light your corpse on fire. To get that non-factor of a damage increase, you get the penalty of the weapon showing EXACTLY where you are shooting from. That makes it way easier for people to snipe you. It is in all ways inferior to a regular AC.

The people who use it now use it because it looks cool. Not to mention that it also has the burden of being a MC weapon, which are all overpriced for what they do. Saving 100LP and going for the regular AC is always a better idea if you really care about performance.
