I think the F2P screen is old info that had been left in the files for a while. I think Nathan said something along the lines of they couldn't be sure exactly how it will work yet as they still have to finalise deals with other overseas partners before even they knew anything concrete so I wouldn't put too much stock in that screen shot.

At this point I'd trust a screenshot way more than I would trust what Nathan says about the development of EC.

Yes, only let people play the factions no one wants to play. That will surely swell our numbers. Also LOL at trying to stick us with all the hackers/noobs/trolls. You ENJOY your fremium players marines.

You missed the point. Not only do I enjoy playing Orks and Eldar but I also don't just go assuming that all new players are "hackers/noobs/trolls". The issue that I have (and I have already mentioned it if you bothered to read a little further) is that I am tired of always fighting against LSM when I play my Ork or Eldar toon. The original selling plan for EC did involve players purchasing the factions individually. My comment was just a suggestion on how to help balance the factions, if you have a better idea please feel free to post it. Its rather pointless just assuming that my idea containes an alternate agenda.

They will always have proportionally more, yeah, but let's assume (for easier calculation) that the split were 70%/10%/10%/10% LSM/CSM/Orks/Eldar, then I would expect the F2P players to choose factions in roughly the same proportions. In any case, funneling them forcefully onto certain factions is definitely not a fair solution.
