Framerate horrid on GTX970

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by Mechcondrid, Sep 23, 2016.

  1. ok what in the genuine hell....
getting framerate of about 13 on a EVGA GTX970 FTW+ gpu
was getting before this patch upwards of 90 fps and 120+ at times
and this isnt about settings even with everything off (that can be turned off) and the graphics settings to low the framerate doesn't change at all
even changing the resolution to 1440x900 does nothing!!!
what the hell did you guys do to the optimization ? nuke it?! game was running beautifully now its running like indie-ripoff shit!!
this needs to be addressed immediately

    spec for ref:

    Intel i7-6700K @ 4.3Ghz
    24GB g.skill @ 2800
    EVGA GTX970 ACX2.0 FTW+ edition @ stock clocks
Sandisk Ultra 480GB SSD <- system drive
Toshiba 3TB drive <- game drive
Mushkin Catalyst 100GB SSD <- cache and swap drive
  2. Weird, I have a 970 as well and I run on max everything pretty fine. I get mini like 1 second tops freezes once and awhile but thats' it.
  3. all i know is the only thing that has changed is that the game was updated, no other new hardware or drivers or anything and no new software that can conflict (only new software is a memory editor for radios that is a self contained exe, no service or drivers it just reads the memory file from sd card)

Having same issues between patches and on various maps with my nvidia geforce gtx 960. Entering the Harkus walls fucks my fps royally as well this patch, worse than when the fx were causing fps issues a lil while ago.
  5. Does your graphics card auto update drivers? I heard there was a new driver released yesterday or something for GeForce. I haven't upgraded to it though, maybe you did and the game doesn't like the new ones?

Same here i have a gtx970 / 16GB DDR4 / I7-6700 3.4GHz , running at max with all the extras activated, and running quite smooth
    Sofferenza likes this.
  7. no i am fanatical about NOT upgrading until its been proven that there are no system breaking bugs (had an nvdia update basically brick my laptop with a GTX660 in it to the point where only 32bit programs could even see the gpu as installed in the system, ended up having to wipe the drive and do a fresh install)
current driver version i have is 372.90

Nah I actually updated my drivers due to the issues and it didn't fix 'em unfortunately.
  9. ...Do you use Razer Cortex? I'm running on a GTX 870M and with it I play the game smoothly (consistent 50) at 'high' graphics.
  10. i do but it does not see EC i have to initiate boost manually and the OSD is disabled for cortex
