Hi guys, so like a decent amount of you i'm planning on purhasing multiple founders packs(i play 3 armies). I think it would be great for those of us buying 3 packs to only have to pay like 200 or some reduced price. Im puttin my eggs(yearly gaming money) in the eternal crusade basket and i could probably scrounge up 300 dollars but it would definitely not be ideal. Just wanted to give a voice to other people in my situation.
There was some mention for a discount for guild purchases (big groups)...but I think if they decided to do that you'll have to wait for the founders announcements like the rest of us to find out!
Be careful, if they put ridiculous lock times on faction locking then it may be more wise to just buy one. Like if they were to make faction locking with a day reset then I think it would be alright to buy three army founder's packs for each army's goodies, but if the lock timer is for every campaign (1 week) then it may be wiser to just buy one founder's pack. In the end it is all up to you though.
I was under the impression that getting the max founder pack ($100-120 reports vary) got you all the goodies period. Are you suggesting that it is that much per faction? That seems like a whole lot, even for a founder's program.
As stated, the founder's program gives full access to all factions and at launch will give access to the full game. Having said that, these are some of the offers that have been mentioned and the pricing you should expect. Referrals may enable free access to Founder's Pack or an upgrade to purchased Founder's Pack. (Source) Cheapest Founder's Pack will cost USD $40, and will include 40,000 points to be used in the Rogue Trader Store. Packs may be purchased in intervals of USD $10 granting additional 10,000 points. (Source) Acquiring a Founder's Pack may grant Beta access to the game, and it will depend on the order upon which players have acquired their Founder's Pack in a "first come, first serve" order. This is to grant the developers better control over the number of players during testing. (Source) Eternal Crusade will also offer rebates and bonuses for buying Founder’s Packs as a group, in an effort to support groups of friends just as much as solo founders. (Source)
I hope that the bonuses for friends aren't anything that you couldn't get in-game, otherwise it would be a bit unfair, as you'd be out of luck no matter how much you personally were willing to invest into the game.
Founders willl also get to select unique rewards from the following categories: Identity – Enhance character’s core identity with unique Founders-only squad emblems, Heroes, and background-related titles, biographies, and cosmetics. Weapon Skins – Unique cosmetics for each race. Armor Skins – Unique cosmetics for each race. Space Ship Decorations – Unique cosmetics to dress up Squad or Strike Force Cruiser’s interior. Miscellaneous – Unique execution animations and pets, both utility and non-combat. Vehicles – Unique Founders-only vehicles. Consumables – Extra ammunition, grenades, and other convenience item. Accessories – Unique equipment pieces. The same can be said about other deals. For the most part I think the deals for groups will be price reductions or additional points.
