As an ork I have been keeping track of what kills me the most, and without a doubt it has been bolt weapons. But I have been paying attention so long I noticed something the other day. Whenever it seems I am killed in two rounds or quite suddenly it has been from the founders heavy bolter. Now sadly I don't have any store points till the next reset, but would someone, preferably with fraps or similar test it on a willing player. I feel like its doing one of two things. One: either the damage for that one somehow is higher than the standard (unlikely unless it's a programming error) or two: it's bugged and my character is not actually telling me I am being hit till the 5th or 6th round, making it seem like I die in two rounds. This seems more likely. In either case, every time I have died mysteriously or suddenly has been from this gun. Someone telling the other marines to "get the founders heavy bolter guys, trust me it's broken" while I was messing around on the marines side last night made me corilate the two things and this may just be a secret unscroupulous people are keeping hoping it goes live like that. I HAVE noticed alot more around the last couple of days.
its the heavybolter in general + the orks headshot area heavybolter kills with 3-4 headshots so its very easy to kill an ork with this
With the Garrison dummies not showing damage it's going to be hard to test properly, but I'm going to do some investigating next time I play.
Thanks. And I know heavy bolters kill orks. But I have noticed it takes less shots from the relic version. Though I believe the first few hits do not register till the last two kill you. So same damage but the relic for some reason is having its damage/hit reported later than it should be.
Ok, so I've got some video for you to look at @Destroya. I've assumed that we're talking about the Requiem Heavy Bolter vs the Standard. Also, bear in mind that due to damage drop-off and a whole slew of other factors, little short of Garrison testing with numbers is going to be conclusive. Based on a few kills using the Standard Bolter, where I've been using the Requiem since I started playing, I didn't feel that there was any difference in how fast I killed things. Video analysis showed the same.
i had an issue yesterday that in the kill view showed me that i was killed by the Requiem Heavy Bolter although i was killed by a storm bolter. Wondered about the firerate and the damege. luckily i had an video recorded and played it with 10% speed where i saw the stormbolter that killed me. This is a Bug that happens when you are downed by a weapon, then helped up and continue fighting. When you are eventually downed and killed, it shows the first weapon that downed you, not the most recent, even if its been many minutes.
