It can't be that insulting if the devs are going to let it happen through microtransactions at launch. You can come in and buy the factions you want at launch, why not make it the same with the Founder's Program? I mean personally I DO plan on playing all 4. Not anywhere near equally but I do plan on all 4 at some point.
I agree here, it would be cool if the founders could also have the option to choose the faction(s) they buy. I however will buy them all, as I want to try every faction out and switch a bit around from time to time
I dont really care that much about choosing a faction, I love space marines lore and all. But I also like Orks for their Orkiness, Chaos for the death and destruction they bring, Eldar for their beauty and grace. I would love to experience the full game and not just in quarters. If you only buy one faction, you are pretty much cheating yourself and the devs. They are spending alot of time making this game, so we could experience the 40k universe in the MMO we always wanted. By buying one faction you are not experiencing the whole game. From what we know so far, the game by itself doesn't cost that much and the founders has different packs for what you want, if you want to only play Eldar, then there will be a founders just for Eldar, if I want to play all factions, you better believe that there will be a founders for all factions in one. I'm not saying they shouldn't have that, what I'm saying is, whats the point? Would you buy World Of Warcraft just to play as an Orc?? That IMO sounds like the dumbest thing ever. Support the game you love mate.
From what we know of the Founder's Pack there aren't various packs for the various factions. It's sort of an a la carte thing now. You purchase a Founder's pack for between 50-100$ and for the amount of cash spent you get a certain amount of points. You then spend those points on your pack. The devs made this game for US. The Player. If I never want to play Space Marines then you can bet your cute little tush that I won't touch them. That's why there are people suggesting that the individual factions should be more separate than they would be in the pack, to cover the Devs asses fiscally. If I wanted to buy WoW just to be an Orc that's my prerogative. Maybe the big ugly brutes get my blood rushing, maybe I just don't like any of the other races. Either way, it's my choice.
I think ill choose what i like myself thank you. And im not cheating anyone out of anything really, i want to take the money id put into a faction i know ill never play and use that money to purchase features for the faction i will indeed play. In both cases they are getting the exact same amount of cash from me (or a few dollars up or down depending on pricing). So im already contributing to the Founders, or are you suggesting that we should shame everyone that isnt contributing the maximum amount of money to the pack? Cause thats just sad if you are. As for the WoW example, i did play it for a year and a half. And i only played the Undead as my race of choice and nothing more. Guess im stupid cause i chose to enjoy the faction i like huh?
Filthy heretics, they made that game so you could play every race and you're just going to play one? That isn't the way mmo's are meant to be played, for shame. Also, did I ever say you were stupid? Did I ever say I'm right you're wrong? No. If you want to play one faction that's fine, but for everyone one else, one payment method is best. The devs didn't really say that you have to buy founders for all factions and if plague priest is right then spend those points on your favored faction, I'm not going to stop you, no one is, but one payment is good, along with extra you want to spend on founders. I don't see why you guys are getting so angry at my suggestion, maybe every one from league of legends plays 40k as well, because it seems the communities are looking about the same from what I'm starting to see.
Actually yes, you did indeed say that playing something exclusively is dumb, ergo people who play it are dumb by relation. Then you went about educating people how they should play MMOs, as if theres a guidebook, only to state how you dont care. So what is it? And im not seeing any suggestion anyones angry about, matter of fact i dont see you even giving a suggestion. Only thing im seeing here is you telling people that they are insulting the devs with their way of thinking and then backpedaling through your statement, you didnt actually give any suggestion.
if i understand well Miguel basically in the founder pack you pay for the point and get the full unlock at 0 money (if you get the 50$ pack you obtain 50$ in point's + the 4 faction etc etc) remember that founder are also tester: so is needed to all have all the faction i suppose the dev will ask to test some faction more when needed even if aren't the favourite faction of a player.
Well like i said before, if its an impossible feat to separate (which would be odd since they will make it a thing post launch) i wont go about petitioning for someone to burn their houses down. It would simply help by diverting the player funds into what they would really like to partake in. EDIT: Actually yeah, i do recall that part now. Basically the game itself with all the factions are free, and everything you actually pay transfers to points automatically. That would actually nullify the issue to a point.
