This is obviously a ways away, but I was wondering if it would be possible to link accounts from EC to the forums. It'd be nice to see / brag about our campaign medals publicly, in area's where it would actually be impressive. Some things to connect: It'd be nice to chart our stats on our forum profile page - Deaths, Kills, Special Achievements, Orders, Missions Completed, Load OutsEct, lo It would also be nice to see a sort of mini-game on the forums that's a side project (A hobby to be honest) of EC, in the form of a system wide board of Risk Factions: Like this: , but over many different planets... that takes place in the surrounding area of the planet we'll be fighting over. Players can establish a strong background story of our own, set the stage of EC, earn the devs some extra money, and possibly even influence the EC by the results of the minigame. Just some thoughts. I'd throw money at it, and I'd see great potential to have something the community could come to the forums for on a very regular basis. After all, having a very strong community BEFORE the launch means that launch day will be one hell of an event.
This is something we would like to do at one point, when we will open up the account creation. Linking the accounts in the Forum could be very interesting (tied to a stat/profile page per user). I sadly can't promise it yet About somekind of mini-game on the Forum, not sure. If we have anything like this, it would be on its own website and would be, like you said, while waiting for the real game to come out. Afterward, we want people to play the game, not the mini-game ;P
True, I figured it would be on the same lines of a sort of interactive ARG that would always be on the forums. However, I'm very stoked that you're interested in helping us "show off" our achievements to the community.
i hate risk. too much rng, too little strategy. i used to bring in an army of 10 guys against a single guy, and lose all my units.
