  1. Man...FW has a lot of cool stuff for HH for AdMech....is there any way to use these models in 40k? I don't really want to have to try and start a whole new game but these models tickly my fancy haha.
  2. Thousand Sons Legion Osiron Pattern Contemptor Dreadnought, £46 sans arm.

"For many decades, the arts by which the powers of a psyker could be maintained medically into the half-life of Dreadnought sarcophagus internment eluded the Thousand Sons, just as it had many others of the Legiones Astartes who attempted the task. It was not until the mind of Magnus itself was focused on the issue, which he saw as part of the wider Librarius Project to establish firmly the place of the psyker within the Legiones Astartes, that a solution, albeit a difficult one, was created.

The use of a crowning psychometric barrier lattice for the living brain of the mortally wounded psyker was his answer, a device he named the ‘Osiron’. Difficult to construct and using principles few even among the Imperium’s foremost psi-arcanists understood, the Thousand Sons immediately began fitting it to the highly adaptable Contemptor Dreadnought chassis in their possession with startlingly powerful results."

"The perfect Elite choice for a Thousand Sons Legion army, the Osiron Pattern Contemptor Dreadnought retains the options available to other Contemptor Dreadnoughts while adding a psychic flourish to its capable offensive repertoire. The model comes armed with a force blade which is attached to an arm that can be modelled on the left or right of the Dreadnought – the other arm can be chosen from any Contemptor Dreadnought arm option, available separately.

There are several posing options – the kit is supplied with straight and bent feet, meaning either foot can be posed forward, and the included combi-bolter and flamer can be optionally mounted on the arm featuring the force blade. Befitting its status as a psychically-gifted Dreadnought, the model is covered in script and iconography representing the Thousand Sons – winged scarabs and suns on the shoulders and chest.

Rules for the Osiron Pattern Contemptor Dreadnought can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven: Inferno.

This resin kit comes as 29 components, and is supplied with a 60mm round base."

Khenentai Occult Blade Upgrade Set, £20.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Khenetai-Occult-Blade-Cabal-Upgrade-Set-2017

"The Khenetai Occult were a mystical sect within the Thousand Sons Order of the Jackal who served as the guardians of the five Prosperine Cults as well as their reliquaries and sanctums. Bound together by oath and ritually-forged psychic bonds, each of the elite were all initiates of the Cults’ inner secrets and adepts in their techniques, philosophies and arts.

The foremost warriors of the Khenetai formed cabals of ‘blades’; sublimely skilled warriors who had honed their psychic powers to be at one with their sword mastery. Their dual force swords were shaped from single sheets of psycho-crystalline infused ceramite and gilt, with sigils said to correspond to the wielder’s secret names and the deeds they had performed. In battle they wore armour forged and shaped by the Legion’s blind artificers using fire and the force of their minds alone, and fought with a unified precision that made them seem a single warrior manifested many times, rather than a group of individual fighters.

This resin upgrade set is designed to allow you to upgrade five plastic Mark IV Space Marines to the status of a Khenetai Occult Blade Cabal. It contains five torsos, five right arms and five left arms (each wielding force swords, meaning two of these curved blades for each model) and five heads. These parts replace their equivalents from your Mark IV Space Marines, turning them into this Elite choice for a Thousand Sons Legion army list.

Rules for the Khenetai Occult Blade Cabal can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven: Inferno."

Sekhmet Terminator Cabal, £50 for 5.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Thousand-Sons-Legion-Sekhmet-Terminator-Cabal-2017

"The Sekhmet, also known widely as the Scarab Occult outside their Legion, were the elite of the First Fellowship of the Thousand Sons, and when called upon to do so, served as Magnus’ personal bodyguard. Clad in Terminator armour, each of them was a high initiate of the Prosperine Mysteries who had sublimated their abilities and emotions into the highest levels of spiritual control, and were able to shun injuries by mere strength of unified will that even to a Space Marine would have proved mortal.

Marked by the jade scarab bonded to their armour, they stood apart from others of the Legion, a brotherhood within a brotherhood. Able to hold their minds at the highest levels of the Enumerations, the Scarab Occult fought with such unified precision and control that they seemed to some less warriors of flesh and blood, but more automata sculpted in the form of men.

Build a set of Cataphractii Terminators and upgrade them to the powerful Sekhmet Terminator Cabal with this kit. It contains a set of 5 plastic Cataphractii Terminators with resin torso and arm upgrades.

There are three different types of cowl – one unique, two repeated – along with five left arms and force axes, which replace the standard left arms and weapons found with the plastic Cataphractii Terminators. An Elite choice for Thousand Sons Legion army list, their rules can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven: Inferno.

The kit is supplied with 5 40mm round bases."

  5. Up on FW Pre-order, Legio Custodes Caladius Grav-Tank Annihilator, £85.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Legio-Custodes-Caladius-Grav-Tank-Annihilator-2017

"A particularly powerful variant was the ‘Caladius-Annihilator’ which featured an enhanced capacitor-fed Arachnus blaze cannon potent that is enough to pose a threat even to super-heavy armour. This complete, 39-part resin kit contains the components necessary to assemble that variant."

"Featuring the same silhouette as the other Caladius Grav-tank variants, but with an especially aggressive-looking turret profile featuring the above-mentioned Arachnus blaze cannon, the Annihilator is appropriately named. Covered in extra detailing such as the cooling flasks that dissipate the immense energies unleashed whenever this tank attacks, photonic accelerators, visible engine and two lastrum bolt cannon on the front of the hull."

"Rules for using a Caldius Grav-tank Annihilator as part of a Legio Custodes army can be found in The Horus Heresy Book Seven - Inferno.

The kit is supplied with a 170x105mm oval base."

  8. May I present to you Magnus the Red, Primarch of the Thousand Sons Legion (£80).
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Magnus-the-Red-Primarch-of-the-Thousand-Sons-Legion-2017

"Magnus the Red was unique among the Primarchs. Above all his brothers, Magnus the Red was the most numinous, a psyker of prodigious power. His very essence boiled with psychic potential, to the extent that his physical form seemed likely to be more a matter of will, and those who fell under his cyclopean gaze would feel their thoughts and substance to be no more opaque than glass, their innermost secrets laid open beneath the Crimson King’s stare. In battle, Magnus the Red fought like a mythical god; fire wreathed him and followed in his wake like a burning cloak."

"Possessed of a supreme intelligence and a hunger for knowledge, Magnus saw himself and his Legion as creators of the future. Others might think of themselves as working for the betterment of Mankind, even of being bearers of the Imperium’s ideals, however Magnus saw another path. To him the Great Crusade, and each step on its bloody path, was a step from the darkness of ignorance into the light of reason and knowledge."

"Magnus scowls beneath gloriously ornate armour, featuring a cape, crest and shoulder horns along with the shining plates and pauldrons. His right hand is given over to the summoning of warpfire, and his left brandishes the Blade of Ahn-Nunurta – as to be expected for a model supplied with such a detailed base, the model itself is a riot of detail ripe for the eager painter to pick out. The diorama base is a shining example of the psychic might of Magnus, depicting the Primarch standing atop a rocky outcrop surrounded by the billowing warpfire he summons to annihilate those who stand between him and glory."

"A detailed construction guide is included – to keep the gaming base removable, care is required with glue, and there is a spare cape clasp in the kit (it’s an especially delicate piece!) Should you wish to add another layer of base this model can be placed, along with Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves, in the Magnus & Leman Russ Diorama Base (sold separately.)"

"This 47-part resin kit contains all the components needed to assemble this appropriately spectacular Magnus The Red miniature. It comes with two bases – one 40mm gaming base with minimal (yet still impressive) detail, and a 60mm diorama base.

Rules for Magnus The Red are available in The Horus Heresy Book Seven - Inferno."
  9. Magnus & Russ, The Primarch's Duel, £170.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Magnus-and-Russ-The-Primarchs-Duel-2017

"In the midst of Tizca’s ruins with the æther whirling about them as a world died, its armies scattered and blood in the air, there was no creature born better suited to triumph in such a hell than the Wolf King, though Magnus would not be brought low without grievous cost…

Recreate the iconic battle that raged on Prospero between Magnus The Red, Primarch of the Thousand Sons Legion and Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves with this bundle, specially put together to assemble an incredible diorama. You’ll receive both Primarchs and a diorama base:"

But if you already have Leman Russ, and want both Magnus and the base, don't worry as you can buy the Diorama base separately for £20.
    https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-GB/Magnus-and-leman-Russ-Diorama-Base-2017

"With this multi-part resin and plastic kit, you can create and display a diorama that represents the galaxy-shaking battle between Magnus The Red, Primarch of the Thousand Sons and Leman Russ, Primarch of the Space Wolves. A 170x105mm oval base covered in rocks, wreckage and the ruins of Prospero, home planet of the Thousand Sons, it has space for (and exactly matches) your Leman Russ and Magnus The Red models, locking them in deadly combat."

"Of course, your models can be removed from this base for gaming purposes, or with judicious application of glue, sealed forever. The kit comes as four pieces – the main base, and three pieces which lock together to keep your miniatures in place."
