Hi ya'll. I'm a Danish dude of 22 who knows the Lexicanum Wiki by heart. I started following the Eternal Crusade for a while back when it was first announced. A few days ago I sorta 'rediscovered' it and figured, let's go to the site and see what's what. So I see the Founders Program is up and I realize that day was the deadline for buying it. So I felt compelled to do it. Partially because I knew I'd buy the game eventually (I'm a fanboy at heart) and partially because I really respect how closely you work with your costumers. I want this to succeed so this becomes practice can become tomorrows standard. So yeah, I bought the founders pack and now I'm playing this amazing game which builds so beautifully on the mechanics of Warhammer 40k: Space Marine. Seriously digging the cover system. I'm a loyalist for life and I was disappointed but understanding when I found out Imperial Guards wasn't going to be playable. I'd gladly bear a 1/1000 KD-ratio for the privilege of serving in the finest army the universe has ever seen. I hope we'll see them later running around on the battlefield as useless NPC's. ZoranTheBear made some good points on this. So being the noble and righteous loyalist I am I decided to go for the second best option. Right now I'm primarily playing as my Dark Angels Marine (Not my favorite chapter but it'll do) and I'm having the time of my life commandeering predators with my custom 'pilot-class' Tactical Marine with Plasma Gun/Repair Kit and voice communicating with my crew. The best was when just today I got to pilot a fully-manned predator! Sponsons and everything! Thumbs up for the design decision to separate control of turret and tracks! Though I'm missing an indicator for when my microphone is active.. I also feel you should make implementing the social aspect of the game a top-priority ASAP. Sometimes I have some great battles with some great folks and not being able to save them and join their games breaks both my hearts. And it'd be great to be able to limit voice comms to your squad and not faction. Lastly, how dafuq do you lock-on during melee??? Anyways, I've made my voice heard. Love this thing you're doing, all the love from here, it's shaping out to be everything I ever dreamed it could be. Want you guys to succeed, that's why I bought the founders program. Love from Denmark. See you heretics on the battlefield. EDIT: Thanks everyone! Also thanks for all the people giving me guild offers! I've signed up with the xDAx Guild
Welcome to the Eternal Crusade, Kewl-marine. Glad you like the game and hope to see you on the battlefield some time
Welcome my friend! Great having you with us. You must have a smart pistol equipped in your load out in order to utilize the melee/pistol lock. To lock on in melee use Mouse 4(the up/down next to scroller) or CTRL. You will see the red circle if u are hitting the correct button. Personally I cannot function using CTRL so I use mouse 4. You can also toggle on/off the lock on feature by clicking the scroller.
