still kinda looks space marineish to me but good work so fare id like to see something like this as end result.
Basic look is fine. I just can't wait for all that customization that I can practically guarantee is coming. This is an MMO people. If you can't make your character your own in some way, it's doing something wrong. Any idiot knows that.
Yeah it's bad but it's too soon to judge , this is nowhere near the final product so , np. I bet the finals will be great.
As it is now, the models are confirmed for placeholders (as any such models usually are this early). From what Ghislain said the final product will be looking more akin to this: View: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MumYPtiRaw
Hoorrah, I've seen Ghislain Barbe watching this thread, we are heard, brothers! I hope our voices will convince bE to pay more attention to proportions and details of CSM.
Hello! A few word on the Chaos model you can see in the turnaround, but before, I'll quote myself from another post - which was on the space marine model - but most all that's been said there is still relevant here as both Legions and Chapters share the same basic power armour chassis when they start (sorry for those who already read it. You may want ot skip directly to the bottom of the quote. Reading it one time is ok, but i guess two times can be quite boring... So it's totally not the final model Chaos Space Marine, it's even more true than it was for the Space Marine one. The proportions you see are the good ones, so are the pieces shared between the basic SM and CSM armours, but pieces like the legs, shoulders and forearms which are emblematic to the CSA were taken from the TEMP model you can see in the in-game footage. Alexandre Robert, one of the team's 3D artist and great guy, is presently working on the new versions along with other pieces we want for the CSM's basic configuration. Speaking of basic configuration- this is something else I said a while ago so bear with me - due to the chaotic nature of the renegade legions, there is not limit to the coolness, distorsions and whatnot which can be inflicted to the CSM's armour, but, as we are heavily based on customisation, in its basic default incarnation, i.e. when you see him for the first time in your customisation UI, he will look quite mundane, with a minimum of chaos-related modifications, looking much like the basic miniature, but most likely without the horns. Wait! Dont leave! Several sets of horns will be available to you (the ones we have on the turnaround are the ones from the TEMP model BTW) , as other stuff like helmet spikes or topknot, but it will be for you to decide what you want. So you wont start looking like a Chosen or whatnot, but will be able to make your way toward it or another path through customisation and experience. We're not selling miniatures, but we base ourselves on them. We dont want to force one on you but are instead trying to give your the opportunity to build the one you prefer... well, up to a point So i hope that helped you see where we're at now. Thank you for your passion, that's what fuels us. We'll keep you posted. Keep the feedback flowing! Cheers!
Thanks for the new info, im just hoping that this visual progression (from the starting basic miniature-like amount of customization to the chosen and the like) is actually gonna be unlocked partly through ranking up a class and progressing it, rather than selling every helmet, chestpiece and shoulderpad in the cashshop. Dont get me wrong, some of it surely needs to be in the shop (you guys gotta keep getting cash from something i guess) but there still needs to be an adequate amount of cosmetics available through sheer progression rather than your wallet. Unless we wanna convey the message to everyone joining us post launch that you cannot look badass without coughing up tons and tons of money.
I did say thru experience Yes, we are going to sell stuff, of course, but there will also be a definite viusal armour progression thru experience... i date not go too in-depth on the matter though as we are still developing that point and Brent or Michael would be much better at explaining where we're heading than me.
