So the biggest problem for them is Warlock it seems? Cause they were talking about some robe problems... I think it´s really dangerous, cause like 3/4 of Eldar advanced classes except Autarch and Warp Spider have robes of some kind (Same goes for Chaos Sorcerercs, Chaos Lords, some wannabe ascendant, Space Marine Captains, but thats far far in future )
From observing Brents humour in the streams it could be. But using Occam's Razor if we look at the list we have SSs, HBs, DAs, FDs and Clyde. It's not the Warlock (see below) and the Reapers are not fully in due to them being a heavy class and needing different animations so it must be the Hawk. And as @Redthirst says So I went back through the Stream again and Brent said "They're less of a problem than we thought they'd be though, there's still work to do but we actually got further ahead than we thought. And the Witchblade looks awesome btw though" Then Nathan said "We had one solution which we (were/are?) going to try which is relatively simple way of having it...Errm...I think we had three (forms/folds?) in it, or something like that still made it look pretty good so I mean the objective here is enabling any form of flowing robes in able to clear game..." and then Brent accidentally flipped over cover and gave away "dat flip tho"! When they got back on track "So robes on Eldar and everybody, we may have a solution which allows us to get them in there in a relatively cheap way that doesn't ruin performance for everybody. This is not, the err... This is not the... Aw! Fuck it! " I think the new version of the Unreal 4 engine they have has probably helped but I expect Warlocks might cause issues for the AMD players... (poor AMD guys ) EDIT: Did anyone manage to decipher what our taunt was? They talked over it on purpose I'm sure but it's there, I just can't work it out! https://www.twitch.tv/40kcrusade/v/59341405 47:10
Well, maybe they intend to give cloth a basic set of animation, like Dota 2 or Guild War 2. That's the only way to make it look pretty without affecting the performance much.
Yeah but in multiplayer, especially where the aim is 100+ battles it could be a huge hit to performance when everybody wants warlock/DA robes/wolfpelts/etc.
