You know that stuff that just wasn't feasible way back when ? You know those free expansions ? Well money doesn't grow on trees... Sorry, just a little bummed out about that nothing of an update, I retract that comment!
There is so much wrong with this "response". 1. Why was it only posted on Steam? There are OFFICIAL FORUMS for that. 2. The entire "persistence" claim is complete BS. 3. More vague "promises". No solid info. 4. What the hell are they celebrating in that picture? There's nothing to celebrate about right now. 5. No direct acknowledgement about issues with RTP pricing, game pricing, stealth changing of the infographic on Steam, their complete silence up until now, or any of the other serious problems that players have brought up.
Considering Nathan worked on EVE for years, i wonder what the heck he was doing for all that time. Because he sure as hell doesn't seem to understand what an MMO is This game and Crossfire sure as hell ain't MMOs like he keeps claiming
As much as I'd like to support the devs, I can't abide by them kidding themselves. Translation: The devs are admitting that the current product is more or less a cash grab, with the promise that it someday will actually be worth the money you paid for it. At least they're being honest, even if they aren't outright saying it. Whether or not that promise becomes a reality remains to be seen. Personally, I'm thinking that they'll do us proud eventually. There is no persistent world at this time, and there is unlikely to be in into the foreseeable future. A map with some changing colors does not a world make. Especially not when those shifting colors have absolutely no repercussions on players. Right now the game has as much of a "persistent world" as call of duty. Translators note: They don't know what they're saying at this point, the game is entirely a lobby shooter. There is no world to speak of. They do however, seem awfully proud of the color changing map which has no effect on gameplay whatsoever. They would do well to admit to it, instead of saying that apples are oranges. Translation: Precisely what I said previously, they're promising that they will eventually make the product worth the money, and give us extra goody bitz n gubbinz for giving them a chance.
