So you would make SoB as powerful as SM ? Or SM as weak as SoB ? And still. Combined SM/SoB faction = Super OP.
Yeah, I really do not like the idea of using SoB as a way to allow people to play a "female space marine-like character" While they may be superficially similar the SoB are actually totally different. They are far weaker (because they are human, not because they are women), and they differ in many other ways. I understand it's a game and they have to give all the races a certain balance, but SoB deserve to be in an Imperial Human Faction of some sort, if not an Ecclesiastic Faction or an all-SoB faction.
The SoB power armour is a derivative of the same power armour as an astartes, its lighter version of it, gives strength to the user and so and so forth. The difference is the black carapace which is an astartes thing which makes the armour work as an second skin for the astartes, the SoB do not have that while being agile with the lighter frame and fast they can not employ it in the same efficiency as an astartes can, as well as they forego all the advancements that an astartes suit may have. In basic SoB and Astartes armour is like comparing two cars where as they are the same model except one gets the most basic thing just a functioning car, while the other one gets tv screens in theirs, gps navigation integrated, and so on and so forth. In essence no armour out there is as efficient as an astartes armour, except we remove the Aegis armour and terminator one respectfully as one is terminator armour and other is grey knights armour. Though Sororitas Power Armour provides the same level of protection as suits worn by the Space Marines, the lack of a Black Carapace means the Battle Sister cannot fully interface with the armour and so lacks the same strength enhancement and other advanced life-support features found in Astartes power armour.[3] Still, Sororitas Power Armour does improve the user's strength and allows them to better handle heavy weapons more easily.[5] Only the inquisitions Ignatus power armour comes a second place to the astartes one in my opinion due to being heavily costumed with many additional functions. So astartes if your buying in packages. Astartes = Platinum, best of the best. Ignatus = Diamond. SoB = Gold. Imperial Guard = Paper.
Probably I'm totally out of the conversation, as I'm late enough to read through 42 pages, but I wanted to remember (probably someone else did) that this thing works while Games Workshop lets BEhaviour work with their things, and GW won't allow female SM, female CSM (more or less), female Orkz, nor totally out of the fluff stuff. No matter how convenient it is, they won't allow it. Period. Also, I want to add that I want female characters in the game, because they are there for a reason in the lore, but I'm against changing the lore.
What about the new individualistic Necrons! Even Tomb Kings, who are just skeletons in Warhammer Fantasy, had a queen. Queen Khalida etc (her tabletop model is pretty cool). The Necrons however, are all dude-lords, as they're referenced in the codex. Necrons as a faction are based on ancient Egypt, which had a lot of prominent queens and female pharaos by the way. No Nefertiti, Cleopatra or Anaksunamun analogues in the codex, though. It should have been the easiest inclusion of females for GW ever since they just had to refer to one single necron as a she instead of a he. No new models or anything required. Or made one of the dozen new necron dynasties have a Queen instead but nope

hate to break it to everyone here but if you think that space marines will be top tier compared to other combatants as well as the most played race you guys are in for a rude awakening. There will be balancing to make other races competitive even if its making all units same health/damage output. Especially if this follows what GoW did for sides. Everyone needs to stop being lore slaves. Its a game not the TT. If you think 1 SM should be superior to all other units. you are in for a rude awakening. Because if it goes that way it'll basically turn into a pve game. Space Marines vs tyranids. No one wants to play against a team that takes 2 to kill 1 as well as them have superior numbers. I don't see this game expanding beyond 4 factions successfully either. Most games have a hard time balancing 3 factions. I get that tyranids will be there to try and help balance out but npc can only do so much. So, it makes sense to expand factions vs creating new ones. Also the game shouldn't allow an account to have multiple factions due to obvious reasons. in my opinion this also takes away from trying newer factions from an xpac.
Predictions....speculations...opinions...logical thinking....nothing is known until we see more info, they want it to be cannon i believe. Your quite the negative one.
