I did, there are quite a few interesting tidbits of information in there. One of my biggest points for why Slaanesh is most fitting for a healing class is fleshmolding in addition to pain rewiring, which to my mind makes Slaaneshi Aspiring Sorcerers perfectly suited to the role.

  4. Not really a hole as the same could be said about the tabletop game. Nowhere in the codex does it state you can't just make your models resemble females. Its a lore thing, not a mechanic thing.

More on topic, I just think, while maybe not nice or fair, the lore is there. No female marines.

However, understanding that this is a game where people will be able to name their characters, I am fully prepared to see things like, "Brother Captain Rainbow Dash" or "Smaug the Chirugen". So, yeah, if people want to name their characters against the lore its fine. I would prefer they didn't, but I won't lose sleep or nerd rage.

The no females thing comes up fairly often in other parts of the hobby and I just think its odd. I've never had an issue playing male or female avatars (Diablo and Gauntlet for two examples). It use to just be a thing in video games that some classes were male and some were female. Guess I'm just a bit ignorant to the problem.

Trying to find the source for that Emperors Children article, but it involves sorting through White Dwarf which could take...awhile...to say the least.

Also actually: After more then ten seconds thinking about it, the implication is that because of the Avatar I shouldn't of assumed you were male, therefore indicating you considered the avatar feminine yourself or that I should of assumed different because of it.

Essentially i'm sexist, but apparently i'm not sexist in the right way.

I think key difference between the RPG-books and Tabletop is that the rules established in the RPG-rulebooks are specifically used to create characters that are allowed within the boundaries of the 40k lore.
Sure, the player may use the character in lore-breaking and ridiculous manners within an RPG just like a tabletop model may be used in lore-breaking and ridiculous manners in a tabletop-game, but stripped from any of the player's own insertions; the character would not break lore.

And what with the hysterical amount of augmentations and wargear that you can get in those books, a player could actually reach a point where they are pretty much a Space Marine in all but the traditional sense, and that is without breaking the lore one bit, even if female. It's hilarious!

I give up, i'm not going to sort through 200 articles to make it a point. However suffice it to say, that Slaaneshi Hermaphrodite characteristics have been pretty much always part of the setting, in those Black Crusade rulebooks it's one of gifts listed out.

Bruva...please don't get me started of that could happen in Black Crusade RPG. It scary.
  9. Sigvald Darthy Curator

It's scary, but it's also entirely canon....granted, I don't even think I should have to sort through a rulebook to prove that Slaanesh likes gender swapping, I tend to think this should be assumed.
  10. Welp that escalated quickly.
