Indeed, I find it quite puzzling that the Devs aren't including the First Founding Chapter of Imperial Fists. It would make sense for the player to go from "siege speciality" to "total close combat zeal speciality" that the Black Templars as an offspring Chapter represent. Perhaps we'll get to see both or either of the two later on...?
I'll admit (grudgingly) that the Ultramarines were OK before Matt Ward turned them into angry smurfs, but the Wolves of Fenris were always the most badass. Even before they defied Guilliman and his Codex Astartes. I don't want to get into trouble for misquoting, but in Horus Rising a couple of the primarchs are sitting around arguing over which legion is the greatest. Purturabo (I think, don't have the book in front of me) finally says something like "Why are we doing this again? Every time we get together we have the same conversation and the answer is always Leman Russ's Space Wolves." To which another replies "That's because they are all clinically INSANE"
I find it hard to believe that some legions like the Emperor's Children or say the World Eaters agreed that the SWs are the greatest Legion. Do you remember which book that's from?
Either Horus Rising or False Gods. Horus and two other primarchs were there. I've been looking for the page it was on, but no luck so far. Emperor's children wern't there. And it was well before Istvan III, so Angron wasn't there yet either. Now that I think of it not all of the people there were Primarchs, as Abbadon and Loken were listening in. Abbadon might have actually been the one to say it, but I KNOW it was said, and Horus agreed.
Hmm it's been a while since i read these books but i only remember Horus meeting with Sanguinius and Dorn in the first 2 books but i think it was with each of them separately and not at the same time. Perturabo definitely wasn't in these books though.
