Is it just me or does the idea of centurions seems poorly thought out to anyone else?

You're right, they seem quite op, some kind of cross-over between a termie and a dread however I don't know their TT stats, I've never seen anybody playing them. (well i haven't played the new edition yet:( )

    I don't mean their stats.
It's their concept as a whole.
The Dreadknight already looks stupid as hell, why add a smaller one?
I understand the need for new units, but is that really the best they could come up with?

Maybe it was supposed to be the answer to Chaos obliterators? SM players always envied these units and said they were so op. I've just checked the rules for centurions (no deep strike, no invulnerable saves)...meh, obliterators still rule! :)

  6. Regarding to Centurions, I agree with Bladerunner that they seem a bit lackluster to the rest of the SM outfit. They dont really fill out a role that the Terminator or Dreadnaughts aren't already.
Chaos got Oblitoraters for a reason, they're fairly fragile, low mobility but packs heavy firepower.

It seems Centurions are there basically for enhanced fluff and just wanking to larger power armors..
