Hey guys, sorry, I'm following the threads, but for some reason don't get alerts when someone posts, which I kind of rely on I'll try to catch up best I can!

I should really play New Vegas shouldn't I? Fun fact; Wanamingo is the name of a town in Minnesota... I have an idea for our first DLC. No problem, I've still got to post and all we've done is cope with leaving the vault after a short session of collective depression. Now we've taken our first steps past the vault door threshold and have set out into the wasteland. It's whatever you want to feel like. We've also lost a few, who for story purposes have elected to warden over the vault for as long as they'll last. Taken on bets!

I had this problem with alerts for ages as well. I could swear they still break anyway regardless. What I think usually happens is that if you have them set to email you when you have a reply to read, and you don't follow the link in that email, no more alerts get emailed to you until you check the thread. So is you missed them in a crowded inbox it's goodnight Vienna. There's also a radiobutton if you should sign up to watch a thread where you have to choose between "email me and alert me" and "just alert me on EC". Anyhow the short version is, email alerts are made of a suspicious amount of fail, better to check your Eternal Crusade alerts panel periodically if you don't want to miss out ... something I wish I'd known earlier ... *grumble*
What do you do with a failed cure? Weaponize it! Imagine a strain of the F.E.V. loaded up onto a disguised USA tanker. Tests of the new weapon were scheduled to be run on selected islands in the Caribbean *cough*Cuba*cough*. When the bombs fell, the crew of the ship were exposed to the virus and it quickly turned them into Super Mutants. The Captain was killed and without a leader the mutant horde sailed aimlessly until crashing back into the mainland. I give you the origin story of Super Mutant Pirates!
