Well Caps are on the way out in the West, Legion is using it's own coins as well as the NCR trying to bring back old world money with their spin on it and Pre-War Money is still a valued commodity. I've had over 100,000 caps worth of Pre-War money (Thank you Dead Money).

The amount of land they'd have to cover by walking seems that it'd take a long time and due to Kellog's age at the time we're talking when the NCR must have been in its infancy since it was only created in 2186 and even then they were only Shady Sands.

The Legion came forth about sixty years later and they cleaned up the Colorado completely to the point raiders do not exist, if you raided something the next few days an army from the Legion would show up and completely annihilate said raiders. Traders in Legion territories are known to not need escort when travelling as well. Just make sure you don't have any chems or alcohol with you...

Also there is an Ex-Enclave member from FO2 (Unknown who he is) but he lived with DC for a bit before some giant fire breathing ants killed him... Also Harold who left California to go be a tree in DC who now has to deal with people constantly trying to worship him...

Oh look a lore-guy who doesn't understand that most of Fallout these days is just meta-love for the players :X

Enclave ain't got any power anymore anywhere really, BoS seems to overkill all and everything because they are loved by fans most. As for legion, I ain't know them even lolz.

Considering it's the west, I'd take a stab at Caesar's Legion.

    Back in my day...

Enclave might still have Chicago! We just got to hope!

Well the BoS have been around since the first Fallout and have starred in everyone since. They're really bad people.

The Legion in the terms of a companion from Fallout New Vegas:
"Silliest dressed band of raping, slaving marauders you'll see east of California, I'll say that. Where's that touch of Old World class? Although I hear the soldiers mount each other as much as they mount their women, so maybe they did keep a little something from the Empire. No such privilege for the women, though. Figures. So... to answer your question... they're a bunch of hypocritical jerkwads. It's a word."

Let's introduce some of the most widespread and hardy of the native and invasive species of our lovely Florida setting!
The Big Brown Bat, Florida Panther, Black Bear, Bobcat, Feral Pigs, Alligator, Manatees, Salt Warter Dolphins, Burmese Pythons, and Nutria. I'm sure you've other ideas for Fauna and Flora of the region and let's figure out which could survive the Fallout and what became of them.

The Alligator is already spoken for, but I was usuing it as an example. Mutated killing machines are to be expected. Say Radbat, mutated brown bats to larger size and attacks in swarms.

Also, what do you think of the name Gator Raiders?

I'd say it depends on how the population recovered as there are those in Fallout such as the White Legs, Dead Horses and Sorrows within Zion who're easily considered backwards tribals.

It wasn't just linked to there as there were others in Colorado or it was east of there not sure like the Blackfoots who first became Legion.

    • Bats are unknown.
    • In Vault 29 some reason the words "These big black cats probably have a higher sneak skill than you do" but they were pre-war ones kept in a vault and why they were there is anyone's guess that is the same for bobcats and I think they've been domesticated by the people who left Vault 29.
    • Pig Rats are a thing.
    • Manatees are unknown.
    • It is rumoured that the sea creatures that seem washed up in the Commonwealth are dolphins.
    • A few snakes are mentions within Fallout games such as the Texas Rattlesnake which can ruin a man's day by being 500 pounds and six feet tall when they stand upright but on the brightside their venom has pretty much gone so now you get sick instead of dying after being bit by it but the fangs are six inches long so they don't really need the poison.
    • Nutia I assume just a giant rat that can swim and what not...
The plant and fungi life in Florida is from an irradiated G.E.C.K. which preys upon animals within Florida, the Midwestern Brotherhood is known to have a foothold within Florida.

Could also go with a historic influence for some raiders such as the Khans did or we could use creature names like the Jackals, Vipers but there is others such as one group known as the Twisted Hairs. It is all to do with cultural look and what not such as the Twisted Hairs were known as that because they had dreadlocks the White Legs all had White Legs, the Vipers loved snakes.

Gator Raiders could work if you ask me if there was in the Heretics thread about it being a pre-war football or baseball team that these raiders got a hold of and carried it on from there.

Sorry went off on a lore ramble... I hope you kids learnt something!

Besides those new ideas, which of the existing dangerous wasteland creatures do you think call The peninsular home? Radants, Radstags, radscorpions, etc...

Nutria are indeed large aquatic rodents, similar in size to beavers but not damn builders. I had an idea for mole beavers inhabitanting the swamps of the "Glades" but I later learned that beavers require running water and are poorly adapted to such ecosystems withoit them.

  9. Maybe those stealthy snake headed cougar looking things from New Vegas Except they're Florida Panthers instead.

    Bloatflys are probably everywhere

    Fire Ant colonies probably.

We know Mole Rats and Mirelurks from our Vault

Super Mutants need to be a thing somehow.

    Same goes for Death Claws

No Cazadores, absolutely No Cazadores. Not until I can have my useless heart replaced with a much better one that negates poison

Goddamn that Perk is great, makes Cazadores and anything else with insane poison abilities a joke.

Well the only one of them that's been in more one Fallout is the Radscorpions. So I feel like Radstags are unique to the Commonwealth...

Those would be Nightstalkers, they were genetically created by Scientists at Big Mt. because why not mix these two deadly creatures together...

Super Mutants could work easily as some from Vault 87 after the Brotherhood took control of DC and gained a much firmer hand there decided to break away since they're dumb dumbs.

    Deathclaws are everywhere.

Cazadores is the same as Night Stalkers, they might have managed to get over to the East though...

Wanamingos? That'd be a fun terrifying experience...
