From a lore point of view a Mr Gutsy and a Robobrain still has a bit of a personality to it and could work like that if someone wanted to RP as one but they'd be bound by a set of rules pretty much forced to follow a superior's orders. There wouldn't be any finding an order immoral and therefore not worth following. Same for Sentry Bots. Robobrains could misinterpret orders however. Cyberdogs have more individuality as they've just been mechanically upgraded and have their brain in a similar way like the Robobrains. Unsure if they worth the same as Robobrains in terms of them having a complete wipe of their brain and what not but since you can change Rex's brain it does say that their memories meld together. Ultimately it'd be up to DaKaptin.
Player Name: Keidivh Character: Jace “South” Southwind Age: 24 Rank: Up to GM Role: Sharpshooter and negotiator. Ranger Gender: Male Appearance: South stands at 6’2 ft. and has a fairly thin build, although still in excellent shape like any other soldier of the Enclave. He has dark brown eyes and hair which is well kempt and brushed back. He generally keeps some stubble on his face, and he tries to keep it well groomed, but can get quite scraggly when out in the field for a long time. He wears a worn out duster, with Kevlar armor beneath it, as well as a nice looking pair of shades. History: South is somewhat of an oddball compared to some other Enclave, especially with his lineage. His father, Lukas Southwind was a well-respected ranger who was commonly sent out to scout out the Midwest Commonwealth, and commonly interacted with some of the local tribes, being unusually friendly and compassionate for an Enclave soldier, but command was to focused on their task force out east to care. It was here he met Terra, South’s mother. Naturally this union was highly looked down upon by his superiors. Thankfully South was allowed to stay with his father, although the mother was forced to stay with her tribe. South spent much of his time with his father, learning how to scout, shoot, and just be a good guy. He also spent time visiting his mother during scouting trips whenever possible. Now a full-fledged Ranger himself, South has spent a great deal of time in the field, and has developed a chipper, easy going attitude that chafes against the rigid attitudes of most Enclave. With a feared and powerful enemy nearing their doorstep, he seeks to stop them by whatever means necessary to protect the Enclave, and his family. SPECIAL: S-3 P-6 E-3 C-7 I-4 A-1 L-4
You've made a very unluky genius, if you're happy with it I don't see a problem with it. In the field I could see you using the environment suit, will need to hashout what equipment each role has. One special item per player. Will you be having a Pip-boy 3000 or some Enclave equivalent. Pretty versatile thou. It's all good. Feel free to pop in when it suits you or if you want to discuss fallout stuff. Researching now. Please wait while data is processed. You're Government thanks you. Excellent observation and question! Each role will have standard equipment, than can be kept with additional items or exchanged for something else (I.e. Spare parts or raw materials) Character personal items are subject to review.
I had the greatest image of Marvin the depressed robobrain stuck in a cyberbogs body. Hmmm, will have to have some limitations. Ware and tear, malfunctions, or salvaged junk. As delta squad you're the *clears throat* losers of the Reserves. But that's what makes you perfect for secret orders! Who would ask questions if you all suddenly got yourselves killed? [Enclave Evil Intensifies] So you think you're a smooth criminal eh? I can dig it, but we'll need to look into the military background for snipers in the American military in the 1940s. Rangers are for the NCR, using it will bother my lore brain to no end. Spoiler You may very well run into a few of them and then the awkwards silence begins. Let's work on that with a PM. Besides that, a sniper is just what a recon team needs. After WWII, Japan was still bombed and recovered as "allies" with the US. If yakooza can exist in Cali, I bet wealthy Japanese business men with strings in the US government could get diplomatic status and take shelter with the rest of the 1%. Would be hard on the family in the long run, but in no way impossible. Improbable, unlikely, but never impossible!
That's grand! I will look over her sheet and make sure her stats match up. One tiny thing though, Ruby's ancestors are Chinese Her last name is Lee. But ... you know, I'm sure those same regions might contain a person or two who can't tell the difference.
There were some Robobrain tests at the start who were "Failures" as they retained their previous life's memories. The idea of the Robobrain is to have a completely obedient robot soldier and with a brain for a processor and what not it is more powerful than any other Robot or Human. America became more isolationist and retracted from the world stage to the point they refused to sell the last oil reserves known in the world away and decided to keep it all for themselves prompting the Chinese Invasion of Alaska. For example America is at war with Iraq everyone of a Arabic descent is looked at differently by society because of it. Even if they are Lebanese, Egyptian, Saudi and so on. During the Second World War many people of Japanese descent were put into camps in America for protection. The same thing happened in the Great War with the Chinese Americans and some who were infiltrators who were captured. The only thing is as the war dragged on and it stalled a bit the scientists started to use the captured Chinese for experimentation. The Robobrains from the Big Empty were more than likely used from Chinese prisoners. I can't remember the exact terminal entries on it but it was about Chinese Prisoners were taken away and now we have more Robobrains around. Doesn't take a genius to connect the dots there. I assume most of the Robobrains encountered in the Wasteland were brains from either criminals or discharged military personnel. Unfortunately not much is known of pre-war society. I would imagine that due to the lack of ethnic diversity in the post-war society that pre-war America was highly white with only a few others around. Perhaps it varies from location to location. Omnissiah knows... So if we die I assume the official report will be they were so shit at being soldiers they tried to throw a grenade but dropped it at their feet and were all trying to remember how many seconds it had been since they'd pulled the pin...
Hurray! Also I'm loading up automatron this very second and I shall begin creating a horde of robots the rule the commonwealth!
