In response a single vessel, the strike cruiser Excoriator, breaks from the Legion's fleet to combat the Imperial patrol. Withstanding all that is thrown against it, the Excoriator uses precise lance strikes to destroy the three escorts. Closing with the enemy cruiser, taking its withering fire on its shields the Excoriator destroys its enemies shields before drawing along beside it and launching boarding pods into its prey before returning back to rejoin with the rest of the Legion. It takes three hours for a hundred Night Lords to take control of the Imperial vessel, purging those who will not submit or who are too weak to be of use. WE ARE THE ONE HUNDRED Welcome the the recruitment thread of Faithless Song, a lore based Night Lords guild. What is a lore based guild you say? Simply put, one that uses the lore of Warhammer 40k to increase the immersion of the game play but not restricting members to a strict RP regiment. Though we enjoy RP we are not basing this guild as such. Faithless song will allow great freedom to play how you want but with a group of like minded people dedicated to Chaos! We are an enthusiastic group of players that have moved our passion beyond the tabletop. We are passionate about lore and excited to incorporate it into Faithless Song, and yet are experienced enough in running guilds to know when it will actually work in the “Virtual”setting. Faithless Song is a combined effort of two real life brothers Fairbarren and Muspilli with a smattering of close gaming friends they have accumulated throughout there many years of gaming. They have allowed us to setup a personal teamspeak channel as well as forum access. Organization Faithless Song is a Night Lords company organized into 10 units called “Claws” . Claws are 10 members large. In the game these claws will be formed as members come online (unless special terms are commanded). There will not be permanent assignment to a claw due to the rapid nature of members coming and going. Members can form permanent claws if they find the same members are always on at the same time. Though the Lore dictates a one hundred member limit we are not going to limit the guild numbers to such due to the fact that there is usually 25-35% population of the guild online at one time after initial launch. Plus we will have people stop playing soon after launch, just being realistic here. This is a new guild forming for EC only, though we have been a part of many in the past those that are joining are going at this fresh. During initial formation of the guild you are more than welcome to claim a claw leadership title and fill it with gaming friends if you wish. Just realize their will be floaters and individuals that will be mobile Members of Faithless song should appreciate the lore behind the Night Lords and be aware of it, but due to the nature of games in general these lore rules will not be strictly adhered too but will be used instead to enhance our experience. During large deployments based on what you are playing, you may be asked to be in a certain claw for a certain task. (Please note: a lot of information compiled from various sources) Specialist Formations/Ranks These will be assigned during large deployments only so save requisition points if you desire. Otherwise, play as you will. Atramentar – Terminator-armored units originally from the 1st legion now scattered through the entire legion. Mainly used as bodyguards for high ranking officials Raptors – Assault marines, also known as Night Raptors Current Company Structure: Looking to fill Commander, Historian, and Campaign Leader positions!Leaders of the Faithless Song: Fairbarren and Muspilli – In charge of the company as a whole maintaining its direction and focus during the assault on Archona. Commanders – there will be ten commanders that will take leads in each claws during large encounters or events. They can also form up a claw to join any other Chaos assault and represent. (Claw one through ten). Company Historian – (there is a proper name for these during the Horus Heresy once I get a chance to go back to book one I will insert it here actually part of the imperium) keeps records of the ship Faithless Song, its converted crew, and the Marines that inhabit it. Campaign leader – “Raid Leader” commands large groups of Night Lords. Strategies will be discussed as more information is learned as well as *crosses fingers* early founder access. VOICE Company voice comms will either be utilized in game, based on quality and type of features provided, or a standard VOIP program such as Teamspeak or Gamevox. We currently run a small Gamevox server but have noticed some quality issues under heavy load so this is still up for debate. Forums, at the start, will not be supported. Announcements will be posted on the website, questions and comments can be emailed to the appropriate individual and we will also be communicating on these forums. We will be disclosing all people involved with contact email etc. We will use this thread for initial information as well. As the company grows and more people become available we will begin to expand communications. *Salutes* The Lash of Loesh looks forward to fighting alongside the Sons of Konrad on the battlefield. Also, I bought the latest Night Lords Ebook and the Night Lords had straight up librarians. So Historians may be good for a Chaos Sorcerer position, though how the Librarians were treated after the council of Nikaea may of been...poor, or not, it doesn't go into great depth.

Without spoiling too much, I believe the title they used for the Librarians was "Dream Eater." Because really, what else would you call a Night Lord Librarian?

*Looks around* Not sure why this thread isn't getting more love, according to the poll it seems our bread and butter are going to be Night Lords, and we don't have any other Night Lords guilds. I fully endorse joining this faction if the Night Lords happen to be your cup of tea.
Thanks for the love Darthy - Starting from scratch is sometimes hard to do. We have been pulling from our extensive "Friends" - base. So there is stuff going on behind the scenes. There are several factors for people to consider for sure, including leadership roles and checking to see if their personality meshes with the leaders. I do a lot of lurking on these forums so my opinionated self doesn't come to light to often, but as we grow closer to release I am sure more and more people that enjoy the lore and the Night Lords will show up. Also, we are not going for massive numbers either. WE ARE THE ONE HUNDRED Typical Night Lords tactics will be employed, instilling terror in hit and run tirades, organized into 10 man claws to allow more freedom for the leaders, and we HOPE special abilities like those employed by Talos (the scream that disables all humans) to be used against other players. Though I am sure that it will not cause problems for regular Space Marines.
Damn, I cannot wait to sow the seeds of fear... We are working on Episode 5, trying to hit our self proclaimed bi-monthly episode proclamation is proving difficult BUT we are marching on due to the fact that we have a lot of fun doing it. Episode 5: Chapter 8-9 of Soul Hunter is dealing with the Black Legion and the biggest asshole of the universe, ABADDON. Can't wait to go over them!
