You have a point, but that is also part of the problem, there is a lot of SM loyal fans :D
  2. There should be some kind of soft faction lock at least...

Planetside 2 isn't a terrible game, but the team design is probably the worst I have seen in an massive multiplayer game, mmo/shooter/mmocrpg

You've not disillusioned me at all, faction locking isn't confirmed either, no certainty that it will happen and it's still being discussed, as are different business plans and sales methods, if one idea impacts another then I'm sure it's all relevant.

Or would you only prefer to discuss confirmed items (may as well delete this thread then).

Faction locking isn't confirmed, you pretty much dismissed an argument you didn't like because it wasn't confirmed. So we can dismiss faction locking as well?

I know it's not confirmed however it seems to be under more consideration right now than the possibility of buying just one faction, what's more, there's high community interest in FL, most of ppl want it and the devs have always stressed that this game is being made for us - we are the investors.

Second thing, my last post related to your mentioning different business plans and sales methods. Sorry but again I haven't heard of any of such, could you enlighten me pls?

Certainly (some being discussed, some confirmed)

You have the free to whaagh Orkz.

You have founders packs at different price scales, each coming with a set number of points to spend in the in game shop that equal the cost of the pack itself.

The in game shop itself allows you to buy packs of points that will allow free players to unlock classes and enhancements (such as Nobz) so they can gather XP and spend it on unlocks, potentially allowing an Ork player to pay and buy the Ork faction in it's entirety if enough points are purchased.

This was then the source of the discussion, being that the Ork faction could be bought through the in game shop, once you started playing as a free to whaagh Ork, without buying the rest of the game if other factions should be opened up to be bought individually.

Stop watering the discussion down pls. All the stuff you wrote now is already confirmed man. It's not being discussed. Do you even know what you are talking about, what you want to convey?

OK so the fact you can buy the entire Ork faction without buying the whole game is confirmed then? You just said that buying a single faction wasn't confirmed....

I know perfectly well what I'm talking about, also asking "what I'm trying to convey" is a bit silly really seeing that we've been discussing it for several pages, feel free to pop back and re-read them if you're confused.
