Faction and Class Uniqueness

  1. So currently factions and classes are sort of different from each other. Chaos and LSM classes are sort of really alike. I propose that passive and activated abilities be added. The Banshee already has one so it shouldnt be an impossible thing.

    Orks as a passive could get a wee bit stronger the more orks are around like planned. Maybe LSm could get a stand still increase toughness/damage resistance cuz faith is my shield and strafing left and right is what faithless peeps do( also it sort of looks rediculous). If you dont count the faster speed as one already Eldar could get another thing. Chaos idk.

    For activated classes Ork Lootas could get "More Dakka" where they have unlimited ammo/no heat up for their weapons but their accuracy dies even braced. Itll help when they want to suppress or shoot at large targets. It will also let them shoot for a while just for orkiness. Short ish length. LSM GA could get an activated damage reduction that slows them or stops working when they swing. Itll help them get into melee without dieing but keeps them from being too tanky when they get into melee. Warlock could get a short unlimited warp charge or spell boost since they are master psychers. Chaos could also get abilities for their marks like Nurgle could give off an aura of plague that is a decent range and applies a small amount of poison when in the area. Cannot stack. Does like a bullet of damage during the duration.

    At first all class and race specific things are the same for each class and faction. But when the Devs can add more flavor it should be unlockable on the tree, allowing people to pick different ones for each class.

    Passives and certain activations should only increase damage or survivability by like one shot.

    Just get the codex and somehow translate into something proper for the game the skills
    For example, "And They Shall Know No Fear" says easy regroup and no run over them,
    Maybe reduced spawn time and reduced supression, since not being rammed by a tank would be kinda OP

    That sounds like a pretty legit way to implement certain thingies from the fluff/dexes...
    Say, an activated attack speed increase for "rage", or activated additional impact/attack speed for "furious charge", things like that?

    Certain faction/subfaction rules from the Codexes could be translated into some really cool activated and passive abilities. Basic visual effects like glow and such would probably be sufficient to represent them too, so no additional animation work would be needed.

    To making it working, when it trigger, you get a SUPRA BIG arrow on your screen and an arrow on the ground to make you regroup on your squad leader. Maybe it will motivate pug to play in squad. :D

    Scorpion mandiblasters

    A cooldown active ability, like banshee scream, that fires an auto-aimed single laser shot at melee-range while locked-on that does some damage to the target.

    Very easily implemented using existing assets. The result is scorpions being able to soften up their melee targets a little before trading with them. This would compensate for their lower health and armor value than marine and ork melee classes get, as well as making a lot of Eldar players happy to see one of their missing core features implemented.

    I mean it's basically just a single-shot cooldown smart pistol that uses a laser-bolt projectile asset and a separate hotkey. This would probably take no more than a day to make in UE4 mechanically, since they already have smart pistols in the game. The only question is the graphical asset.

    They are even on the striking scorpion model, and one of the cosmetic heads changes the look of them.

    I personally would love this being added to the game, and have previously advocated for it's addition a few times. I don't understand why the devs don't try using this idea, it'd add a lot of flavor to our subfactions which currently seem quite lacking.
