I'd see this going a long way but how much time are the dev willing to spend on it afterward? I'll keep coming back when they feature Black Templars and anything to do with them,i'll pay a reasonable top price for it and anything as much as related to Black Templars, Thats just how much realisticly i'd be intrested in the game if they did include them,i voted for race related

This depends on each person... personally I have no problems in buying things like new races/classes(I guess you could call it content) as long as they are a one time purchase, however, I never buy fluff stuff since I'd rather earn them(assuming it's possible).

A year to 2 years later, the IG and Renegade Guard are brought in, they are half F2P half P2P as well. The F2P characters have a progression line from conscript to veteran. The P2P characters can be things like Techpriests, Inquisitors, Commissars, Storm Troopers, or Agitators, Rogue Pyskers, Heretic Generals, respectively. They are the capstone race, bringing with Space combat, expanding the whole system to fight over, and a host of visual updates for every race.

EC rages on for anywhere between a few more years to just shy of a decade, its population declines as the graphics and promises of other games begin to pull them away. As far back as a year after launch, the Devs convene a meeting to discuss how to begin the advanced build of EC 2.

The first EC, having players from this gens console as well as PC freaks that upgrade their gear every 6 months, is not rendered obsolete even though technology has advanced beyond our wildest imagination. EC continues to rage on even as the player base continually shrinks like clockwork as the next generation of technology arrives. With lessons learned from anywhere between 4-10 years of development and implementation, the devs have been collecting a multitude of resources and ideas the community has been throwing around as it enjoys the game, as well as what any good dev would do: study the development of other titles not yet released. Using this knowledge, EC 2 is made with new goodies and awesomeness that EC 1 could never have. It is released as a progressive story on top of EC, where the system holding Arkohna has been literally shaped by our actions over nearly a decade. EC 2 starts, but has direct ties to the old game allowing a new generation of players to jumpstart a new crusade.. while the old EC remains a holy relic, a place where even a couple thousand players continue to shape the history of EC2. Suddenly, because of its relevance to the events in EC2, EC frantically explodes into action as a retro game has never done before.

Twenty years from now... EC3 is released... with the compilation of progression of both EC 1 and EC 2 has made... and the process continues... you guessed it: eternally.

heretic GENERALS? INQUISITORS? seriously?
no.
this has been discussed. inquisitors wouldn't work as a class, neither would generals. I don't want to see squads filled with inquisitors running around. because that's what will happen. they would be as common as a tactical space marine. which is stupid.

but lets all keep that hope in our back pocket, if you will.
and also--even if EC has some really disappointing aspects, nobody abandon it. please. we can make this work!
