"Nay, dont take it" Tyranous voxed back to his brother "something isn't right here brothers, there is something big we are missing" the mans speech was clear and inspiring to those he commanded yet how did he possess the ability to provide space travel to them and what was that crystal in his head... If they acted now the entire camp would turn on them immediately, they needed to level the place before attempting to take them all on otherwise it was suicide... 'Perhaps he is being controlled by a sorcerer' he thought to himself and if so then they needed to know for sure... Listening to the rest of the speech perhas they could gather more information on the abomination
The speech lacked any useful details, it was more than vague... Just all about his praising and how great he is. No hint of greater beings, no hints of others that aided him. He was the big guy. "And now, pray! Pray for entire sixty seconds like an every night, so I shall favor you and choose you to travel with me to the stars!" He announced, all men closing their eyes and pressing their heads against the ground, even the Astartes on the Drawbridge. The man who seemed to be primary target took his leave back into the citadel.
Meron padded forward quietly whilst the others were busy praying, sixty seconds of blind foes, fifty seconds to effectively move, five to secrete himself he thought. Crossing an open road his feet padded silently along the ground he started making for the inner citadel, his thoughts were split between reaching it and how best to deal with the Chaos Lord. A straight up fight would in no way favor him but with some cunning, explosives, he could get the job done. Thirty seconds left, the silent going kept him from sprinting but it allowed him to cover a street at least, next making for the cover of another building he peered inside and saw it empty, debating for only a brief second if he should take cover or not he decided to keep moving as the foe would no doubt return shortly after the prayer. "How am I looking Overwatch? " It was whispered out of ear shot, the Salamander fading into the shadows of another hab, the moonlight working in his favor for now as it was on the other side of the building.
"Take the shot to get inside, the moment you are over the drawbridge, look for an entrance and hide." Gylthran said, looking through the masses, they all talked out loud, spraying their prayers all over the floor. Even the renegade Astartes in the middle of the Drawbridge seemed to be completely delusional to his surroundings.
"Clear. " Twenty seconds, cutting it close but his discipline held, keeping him from hurrying or moving rashly as he stepped past the Astartes, eyes closed momentarily to keep him from looking before stepping from the bridge and back onto solid natural ground. The inner citadel seemed to be possessed of buildings designed by a more artistically minded craftsmen. While finding himself a new point to hide Meron studied the Guards around here, perhaps with something to cover his chapter symbol his blackened carapace armor would allow him to blend in with the enemy, his eye also searched out for anything resembling a barracks or armory amidst the grounds now that he had found himself more cover, keeping the Astartes out of sight as the darkness wouldn't avail him as well against them as it would with normal humans.
From outside nothing would be really visible, he would have to get inside the building to see if there were armories and explosives within. He had a few seconds left and Meron could spot a door to his right, it not illuminating any light. The only other protection would be behind a statue which was in a corner of the court, he would have to make a full sprint to reach it in time, but it could easily cover him.
Holding his breath the scout made for the statue at full speed. Sliding into cover behind he he listened closely for any who may come to investigate. "Meron to Overwatch. Starting to form a plan, request you find me a secluded target I can pull out of sight. "
"Overwatch to Meron." He started and looked from his superior position with his Sniper Rifle and Targeter, taking detailed looks around the movement. "Nothing to report so far, five seconds left until their prayers are over."
Watching Meron's movement was like watching a ship sale through the stars from a distance, simply silent and elegant. Tyranous was impressed by the salamanders speed and skill... "Agreed" he voxed back silently to Meron's plan of taking out a single guard, it was clever and out of the box which is exactly what they needed in order for their mission to be a success. Seeing the others move through the darkness towards the armory and looking inside, he wondered what they saw... He prayed to the emperor that there were enough explosives to destroy all these heretics. OOC just trying to keep the story moving along while the others are afk
OOC: Yeah been waiting for the others so we didn't have pages of just myself and urian replying to each other xD "I'm trying to think how to deal with the Lord. If there is an Armory filled with sufficient explosives I could try to lure him in then just light the place up. But to do that I need to find one and a way to get him down. " Watching the Guards patrols he decided to see if he could make out anything in the lit buildings that may hint at what they were exactly. "Or...could try to sow discord with the idea of a traitor in their midst. "
