Color me a bit perplexed as to how they truly intend for these execution screens to work on the fly.. I think it would make the most sense to have a selection of schemes that minimizes obstruction to the overall UI. That's just my take on it. Et tu?
Not sure I understand your question, sorry, but if your are asking about what UI changes to expect during an Execution, well here is the answer: Executions are something special, theatrical almost, and we don't want to have anything un-needed in the way of that satisfying action-sequence. So, HUD-wise we gonna remove everything which is not needed during the Execution. We want as much of the screen space as possible to show the cool execution animations as possible. And blood WILL be splattering on the screen, so we want to have space for that as well. If your question is about something else, please do explain it further : )
I like the sound of that, but please don't make the UI appear/disappear! It can be very distracting and 'jarring'! I believe executions can be visceral through careful use of camera techniques/effects.
I would ask that you don't remove the UI. No matter how "cool" the execution scenes are, when the novelty value wears off players will start to get bored of seeing them and they might want to use the time spent on the execution to do something useful such as glance at the mini-map and take stock of their situation, perhaps make sure they're not being surrounded, or glance at the chatbox and make sure they don't have /tells to respond to, or check other UI elements such as if weapons need reloading, or whatever. Sure, you can say that a drawback of taking part in an execution (for whatever rewards they grant, even if it's only bragging rights) is that you leave yourself open to being attacked so you shouldn't be able to check the mini-map, take stock or glance at your surroundings, but then the execution time is still going to end up being "dead time" to players eventually once the novelty value of seeing each separate execution animation has worn off. Admittedly I'm saying this on the assumption that the executions are going to be pretty long (upwards of 5 seconds) for it to be worth you considering the phasing out of the UI. If executions only take a couple of seconds (which is what I hope) then you can ignore this post
You are 100% right Malkryst : ) It will all depends on the time Executions are taking and the risk/reward you get from them.
