It's not about lack of respect towards new people, it's about their laziness in terms of enlightening themselves. The complaints that are being posted are topics that have been discussed, which some have been answered. Instead of using the search function and trying to find the thing they are worried about they resort to screaming out their complaints, waiting for people or the devs to pull the stick out of their *** for them, to put it bluntly.
It's the reason I've stopped being so active here. Every time I come back around it's a topic we've discussed to death being run into the ground once more by people that aren't willing to peek backwards and see what's been talked about.
So you guys want a Founder forum so you can get away from all the newb bs? You guys do know a lot of the new people on here bought the Founders Program also? And creating one will just bring the whole elitism, animosity, superior attitude. Let's help them instead of being frustrated, that's our prerogative as senior members. Well not me, but i'll try helping as much as I can to my knowledge instead of saying, dude search it up! Look it up! I've seen this happen way too much irl and on videogame life to know this will not bode well. Let's be a better community guys.
>Better community Expecting people to spend 15 seconds of their time to perform a simple search makes us a bad community..?
I think the founder's forum is there to make major decisions about the game like the 5th faction and stuff like that.
You cant really blame the seniors in most cases. Im pretty chill to everyone and ive had more than enough times i basically linked a thread about something a new member asked and told him its best to continue the discussion there, where everyone is converging than separate the discussion. What was i greeted for being helpful? Derogative comments, telling me how i shouldnt pretend to be a mod, accusing me for their ill perceived conclusions as to my intentions etc. Im not saying people dont need to ask questions, and i wont stop responding to them due to a few bad apples who have the social interaction skills of a sea anemone. But look at the General subforum, theres like 7 threads on the very same topic, and its not a secluded case. That is lazyness to a whole new level, the very same questions posed arent in some far away land. They are on the very first damn page you open, and if someone made the exact thread you are about to make, should you proceed with it? No, you should put your concerns in an existing thread. The worst part being that all these 7 threads are being posted in at a similar frequency, so they are all battling for 1st and 2nd page so these people arent unaware that this is phenomenon is there.
well this is what happens to a lot of games communities once the games get more known, and its only gonna get worse with every milestone it'll reach. you prolly dont wanna check the forums when it gets close to release so... yay for founder forums
