"A dream, yea it must be a dream." He beginning tugging out wires and leads before slipping his feet onto the cold floor. Shivering from the cold now radiating up through his feet, he wobbled slightly as he got his footing. "Next thing you know we will all be standing in front of a class with them pointing and laughing." He chuckled at the poor excuse for a joke, anything to shake whatever it was they all had just experienced. Being respectful of the others, he covered himself as he hobbled around the room searching for anything that could be used to cover themselves with. "This is very odd, this is some sort of medical building. But where are the doctors and nurses? And yes you think they would have atleast covered us with SOMETHING, anything for that matter!"

  2. "Maybe they needed us to be naked to do whatever it is that they did to us, why exactly they couldn't have at least left us patient gown is beyond me. But if this is a dream I suppose only one of us is real or that somehow we're all sharing the same dream at the moment. None the less there's only four out of nine of us so I guess we should get out of this room to find the rest along with figuring out where we are exactly." Ferdinand wasn't sure if the rest of his team was even still alive but at least those in the room appeared to be healthy enough and they weren't in shackles so at least they didn't appear to be captured in the usual sense at the very least.

With a groan, Errmanno rolled off the table immediately into a fighters crouch. With the wires and stuff attached it brought a bunch of equipment crashing down. With a shake of his head he scan his immediate area with little concern for the medical stuff. In his mind two things could have happen either they were recovered and helped medically or they were captured and part of some sort of medical experiment. He immediately started grabbing at the leads and stuff detaching them then grabbed a few items to make a makeshift weapon with a needle and wires.

  4. To wake up on a cold metal slab in a quiet room with just her teammates just talking from a muddy battlefield dealing with hundreds of Imperial troopers, a superheavy tank, and see many of her friends die was at the very least a little jarring. "Okay, can someone explain just what the fuck happened? Weren't we in a fort fighting imperials? And some big ass tank?" Eva questioned them as she sat up, feeling tugs at her skin from the tubes and wires hooked up. "And where the hell are we?" She asked next, the entire room looking alien to her with no understanding of its function.

  5. The sound of crashing materials echoed down the barren corridors which were just as brightly lit as the room the four had found themselves in. Rattling down the corridors, it faintly reverberated against the barred door with enough force to be barely noticeable on the edge of senses that Emile found himself in. Yet the action most surely should of at least attracted an attendants attention. It's not like the equipment wasn't delicate or expensive to maintain and having it treated in such a manner would of most likely earned at least a verbal dressing down for being careless...yet no one came and the hallway echoed back the much quieter response of the crashing machinery.

On a nearby monitor bank, a small console began to light up with several angry red lights. No markings, no logical readings could be made from it but as each row rapidly flickered from emerald green to blood red, it began to bleat out a low but insistent noise, most likely an audio alarm for an attendant. As each continued to unhook themselves in turn and move around, the surgical tables slowly receded into the floor on silent pnuematics disappearing from view to some unknown place. From the ceiling, a small orb of light emerged directly in the center of the room from a previously invisible iris shutter which had seamlessly blended in with the tiling.

Moving around on small wisps of displaced air, the ball of light moved towards each of them in turn as if looking for something ignoring and weaving any attempt to touch it or block its path as it scanned each person. Each time it did so the light ball glowed brighter briefly and the area it faced seemed to warp and distend, as if it was being physically displaced from reality yet appearing once more a moment later. After several minutes of fussing over them, it disappeared once more into the ceiling as if it had never existed and an audible chime sound could be heard before a pair of klaxons lowered out of the ceiling and the power cut off.

Illuminating the room immediately in warm red light, the two klaxons silently circled around endlessly in their glass prisons and a sharp voice barked out from an unknown direction.

"Attention: Stand back against the wall and make no sudden movements, a medical team is being dispatched. Any actions of resistance will be deemed as hostile and lethal countermeasures will be taken. This is your only warning."

Just as quickly as the voice spoke, it dissipated in a blur of vowels and gutturals too formal and fast to be anything but a machine. Despite their surroundings, nothing seemed directly hostile of yet...but neither did anything seem remotely friendly and would only be a matter of moments before they received at least one of their answers.

    ++++++++++++++++
Muffled and barely audible, the voice filtered through the bolted door into the room barely reaching Emile's ears. It seemed that at least there was activity nearby but as of yet no one ha....*click* with the grinding of well oiled yet constantly used gears the doors bolts receded in and a pair of figures dressed in form fitting, fully enclosed environment suits appeared. One was clearly a medical professional as they carried a tray of delicate and bizarre surgical apparatuses but the second was definitely a guard of some sort.

Across their chest, a weapon was slung snugly just in easy reach of the operator and their suit seemed more heavily padded in areas as it covered reinforced plate. The second figure also was mostly drabbed in dark grey and black colors while the first, the surgeon? was wearing a pure white uniform. Neither of their faces were visible and despite the form fitting design, it was impossible to tell if they were male or female. Neither spoke but the guard stepped in front of the other and gestured with one hand that Emile stand up and back towards the far wall as their partner laid the tray down on the table and began to select an extremely long syringe filled with a vicious, bubbling fluid which visibly moved around in the free space within its container.

Tapping the syringe a few times to let out any air bubbles that may have formed, the figure turned to take in Emile and waved him towards him before speaking in a gender neutral voice that was clear and crisp but gave no hint to age or sex.

"Place your arm down on the table in front of me palm up. Don't worry, this is a safety precaution. It might hurt a bit initially but you'll be fine."

Emile looked about still somewhat shell shocked from the change in enviroment . From a gritty bloody battlefield to a land of sterile white walls and cold metal. He glanced up and down the medical person and then at the guard. The guard was armed and dangerous. He obeyed as he was naked in both weapons and clothing. He stood against the wall and awaited further instruction. He saw the Doctor pull out a large syringe and winced "always needles , no ?" He muttered to himself before he heard the Voice and walked over his arm extended "might i ask why the precaution Mon Ami ? Why would i hurt one of the people who're healing me ?" Emile looked about the room and spotted the glass wall before waving lightly at whoever if anyone inside . "Such an odd medical facility. Most are just tents for treating wounded soldiers. Did we win the battle mon ami ? Or was i evacuated ?"

( OOC: Emile totally thinks this is just a hospital for CAS soldiers, nothing shady here haha )

This most definitely was NOT a dream! They all had too similar memories. Before he could respond a strange orb lowered from the ceiling. The elusive orb seemed to be examining them each in turn before returning to its hiding place. Then the klaxons lowered and began bleating out the alarm. He was torn to follow the direction and to run. It seemed they were being monitored from some, as of yet, unknown location.

"I think we should listen and do as they say." He clutched his side as if a sudden pain stabbed him, and kneeled on the ground stabilizing himself with his other hand. He looked in turn to the others before grabbing one of the discarded needles that was previously implanted into his skin. He tried to hide it in his hand before standing and goblin to the wall as instructed. He felt slightly better having some sort of means of defending himself.

He faced the ceiling where the orb had disappeared to, "Where are we? And why are you holding us here like we are enemies?" He wasn't sure if they could hear him, or even respond for that matter, but he hoped maybe he would receive an answer. Everything about the situation screamed to run, but he didn't have enough information to even know where to run to.
  8. "I don't think talking to them is going to work here." Eva grumbled as she stood up, feet touching the cold ground before standing at the wall that they were told to. Fucked up 'dreams', little balls of light, getting passively threatened just after waking up, and now standing naked against a wall while people looked up and down her. Yea, this was just going to be fan-fucking-tastic. "If I were a betting woman, I bet we're in purgatory right now after the explosion of the tank killing us. Either that or this is someone's sick sense of a prank..." she said to the rest of the squad as they waited.

  9. Ferdinand nodded at John and went over to the wall. He didn't bother trying to make some kind of weapon like the other two men in the group but he was still open to options. "If this is purgatory then we're going to be here for quite a while Eva." He said looking up to the ceiling. "And if this is a prank whoever came up with it is going to have my family Pernach buried in their skull." He was fairly certain that whatever this is it wasn't a prank either they're still dreaming, their dead, or in some new kind of medical facility hopefully controlled by the confederacy.

  10. "It would seem that if you're able to crack some piss poor joke then you must be perfectly fine."

A familiar voice echoed into the room before an even more familiar yet different face came into view. Dressed in a pitch black uniform and with a Colonels pins on the chevroned shoulder guards, the once Sergeant Bakerson continued to march forward followed by ten similarly dressed and varying ranked personnel. While some had the medical wings on their uniform or berets, many of them were of Major or higher and all but Colonel Bakerson were armed.

Between two of the last people to enter, they carried a large container with no visible seams to it making it appear like a solid table that had been folded in on itself. Setting it down in the middle of the room, one of the figures bent down in front of it and took off the glove from their left hand revealing a heavily tattooed sigil in the form of an Alchemists crest. The sigils began to glow a bright blue and as warm flesh touched the cold metal, it began to open up on an iris in the shape of a small flower to reveal four vials of a black, moving substance.

"Do not be alarmed. I'm sure you all have several questions and to be frank, we do not have a lot of time. You've all been asleep for...a while...and many things have changed. I'll bring you up to speed once we're done here and you can meet some new and old acquantinces. For now, let my associates here finish their work. And for the love of Terra drop that pathetic excuse of a weapon Kroll."

Removing the containers one by one, the alchemist and another person, also most likely an alchemist removed a small amount through a syringe and began prepping them for use. The first, who had opened the container moved towards Kroll and spoke with a slight hint of annoyance.

"Stand still and try not to scream too much..."

Before plunging the syringe into his arm. Depressing the archaic stopper to force the contents into Krolls body, the fluid begin to vibrate within the syringe and caused the veins around the insertion point to immediately begin puffing out and turn black. Ice cold pain speared through synapses faster than the mind could register even as spider webs of darkening veins began to appear across his body yet despite the inaction of his body, it remained completely still and motionless.

Whatever was in the syringe acted alarmingly fast and in less than the time it took to blink, it had already begun to create a lattice of void black veins across his face. One heartbeat later, the fluid reached his brain and began to immerse itself into the synapses. Another heartbeat later, the thickened, diseased looking veins began to shrink back down and return to normal. Beating faster now, Kroll was met with the worlds worst headache as control of his body returned and an overwhelming sense of nausea and vertigo descended making it almost impossible to continue standing.

Having already moved out of the way, the first man was advancing towards Eva even as his opposite was already finishing up on the rest of them with similar results to Krolls bitter-sweet "injection".

"Classified, classified, classified, and classified. Now hold still and this will soon be over. Depending on how it goes you can be released with the rest of your friends."

The technician spoke in a monotone voice before nodding towards their opposite number who sealed the door behind them and made no effort to conceal the fact he was now pointing his weapon at Emile. Grabbing the mans arm, the technician gingerly inserted the miniature needle into the largest vein on his arm before depressing the plunger. Yet even before the person had begun to manually force the contents out it had begun to move by itself out of the syringe and into Emile's arm.

Thousands of miniature veins and bulging arteries began to appear like weeds, originating from the needles entry-point and spread up rapidly across his body faster than it took to register that the needle had been removed. The veins were of a sickeningly black color and caused the skin to sweat profusely even as nerves spasmed from the sudden bombardment of synaptic responses. It took only three seconds for the tidal wave to crash into his brain before it was all over and darkness consumed his mind.

Fatigue worst than anything he had ever felt before yet also an alarming desire to...feed? filled his senses but his body was not yet recovered and almost as quickly as it had seemed for him to re-enter the world, Emile left it as unconsciousness enveloped him in its tight embrace.

Banging his head against the table as his body was unable to monitor its condition or stabilize itself, both the guard and technician sighed in relief and the gun was lowered. Gesturing to the body, the technician spoke out loud.

"Tell the Colonel this ones done but is unconscious and send for an orderly team to transport the body to Chamber 17. We're done here."
