Now that Graham and Anthony have been officially confirmed what are your thoughts on this? I'm a fan of both authors so it's a win-win situation for me, really can't wait to see what they bring to the table.
95% of Black Library and GW collaborated storytellers are weak puny grafomaniacs with no sight of talent.Make your story - atleast you have more chance to evade Warhammer stereotypes.
Familiar with graham mcniell but not the other, but sure both will do a good job, however i strongly suggest you edit, spellcheck and qualitly control facts written about the lore, yourselves, as the above poster hasnt touched on, it is the editing that suffers greatly on black library books, and most definitley not the writers themselves, to expect a freelance writer to know evey facet of such a vast detailed universe is ridiculous, that's why you have editing and proof reading.
I wouldn't worry too much about it guys. Remember, it isn't going to be how bad the writing is, it will be how it is delivered. I know McNiell and company will do a fine job of hammering out a story for us, but it is how they will present the story that will matter.
I don't think we will have an in-depth story, something on the lines of why each Race/Chapter/Warband/Legion are present on the planet with maybe a few easter eggs and spoilers thrown around the map for good fun
I remember one of the devs talking about how there would be story involved in the campaigns within the game, also
just avoid things like a black armoured, skull helmed, space wolf treating the injuries of a wounded brother being called a RUNE priest, this was actually published, and is what i mean about editing and proof reading. Could suggest you throw out an open competition for the fans to give it a go as well, bet there is a wealth of undiscovered talent with this type fan group.
Oh wow this is amazing! Both of them have written some amazing pieces, hopefully they just write the backstory for each campaign. That would be great!
I think that the Thousand Sons being involved would give the story a nice touch (Thousand Sons vs Space Wolves)
