OOC: OOC means "out of combat" (or something of the sort), in other words, you only use it if you want to address something out of roleplay (to other players, not their characters). So you might want to edit your post a little... Also I'm assuming you're not addressing Alpha's Second army? Because they're in a tunnel at least half a mile underground moving south...

  3. OOC::Not but a moment ago, Cpt. DeRojo and his wingman, 1stLt. Brother Razz Raja, were able to happen upon a psychic link. Not a strong link like the one a Hive Mind can and will employ but a weaker one. One which gives off the classic signal of two enemy command units sharing intel. Having been a top candidate for the Grey Knights, DeRojo and Raja must first undergo many more trials as they still have their own weaknesses to contend with. This feat, however, is known only to his Chapter Master, Sentikan. None-the-less, their psychic affinity has aided them well in their many campaigns together and this is one reason why they elect to remain Tactical.

Utilizing their affinity for being able to listen to psychic links, DeRojo and his unit of 10 Angels Sanguine were able to track down a Zoanthrope. The rain and clouds aided the squad well in their stealthy approach of the Tyranid horde. Overlooking a cliff from miles away, DeRojo's scout master, Arturious Lancer, surveyed the lands for any Encroaching, topside, Tyranids. 'Cpt. DeRojo' Lancer quietly vox's in, 'Were your presumptions regarding the presence of a Zoanthrope, confirmed? I can't see anything through the lens of Burtha, whom can not lie...' Burtha, an intense sniper rifle used by Lancer and Lancer alone. It is no larger than the standard Scout sniper rifle but it has an extended mag for more ammunition and a modified silencer. Dubbed "Burtha" for the iconic large weighted singer whom's voice became synonymous with an approaching end. ' Shall I move to access the underground area some how?', 'No, Lancer' DeRojo quickly, yet quietly replied, 'Stay out of sight and utilize the pheromones appropriately.', 'Yes sir' Lancer replied and than the vox went silent.

Upon their descent on to Arkhona, DeRojo informed his squad of a few special items that he managed to secure from the Apothecaries. It took a lot of work in convincing the Order to permit him to use extracts of the Tyranid horde's chemicals but if everything works out, DeRojo's hours of talking to the Order will not have been in vain.

Prior to their descent onto Arkhona, DeRojo approached the council of Apothecaries and pleaded that they entrust a few vials of the Tyranid extracts to his company. He pleaded with the Apothecaries and his Chapter Master stating that something large was coming. After Chapter Master, Sentikan acknowledged DeRojos prospective abilities relating to the psychic, DeRojo was permitted to descend to Arkhona. DeRojo was only allowed to arrive on Arkhona as a scouting unit to "gather details" and report back immediately.

With the aid of the supernatural storm temporarily severing psychic links within the Tyranid horde and by utilizing their stealthy abilities, DeRojo and his units managed to out maneuver any Tyranid scout in an effort to put themselves within position, above ground, to observe the insanity of the numbers to which the Tyranid army has grown to. 'Stick with the plan, brothers, we are here for scouting purposes but... I will not let this wave of death go freely'. Finally finding what he was looking for, an opportunity for infiltration, DeRojo plans a surgical strike. Not having any awareness of the Artifact, DeRojo pulls his squad back into the brush, ever vigilant of Tyranid patrols, to prepare their next move.

OOC: Yeaaaah just killing everything, typical Jester work ^^At least a squad of termis could have been spawned and do some wreckage, also just cuz it's NPC doesn't mean the battle has to be much better to your end :p *regards termi only read 1 terminator got killed ; 1 of 'many'* But in general that scenario is okay, though you are hopefully aware you just killed 100 Ultramarines with sacrificing what? 1000 nids? lolz

Oh also I have to attend a childs birthday today (idk when coming back or leaving exactly though <.<)

OOC: No, it's more like 10000, not to mention the amount the termys killed on their final stand. I was relying the fact that they weren't as used to CQC in pitch darkness as the horde of nids trying to eat them. Just because I didn't mention the other termys didn't mean they weren't there or killed a crapton of bugs :p. Hey you made them meddle with Alpha, not me *shrug* Also it's more like 60-70, many got cut off by the collapse tunnel and couldn't help their brothers.

The spectacle at the stairs continued its eerie dance in the distance, though the repercussions had reverberated into the shattered warzone. Tyranids surfaced in a confused melee attacking friend and foe alike. Losses against them were light, particularly amongst the host, but even the new blooded cultists fared well enough against the raving beasts.

This change was not without its drawbacks however, what remained in the city of the Hosts furies grew more aggressive and animalistic with the activation at the stairs, attacking cultists that strayed too close to their new territories but knowing better than to try such an action against a Word Bearer brother. Just as the beasts, the cultist grew more recklessly aggressive, believing this event to be a sign from the Chaos Gods of their imminent victory.

Urlox had no doubt their forces would emerge victorious, but struggling to control an unruly mob was no way to attain it. Let them, the graveled voice whispered in his mind, Let the dregs waste themselves against the Imperials, they are of no consequence. The Host is strong, the new blood is untempered, good only to die in the gods’ name.

He did not disagree, but the Lord was loathe to waste resources. Still, the cultists were in excess here, with the mysterious storm breaking even more civilian’s faith in the Imperium, humorously believing the Word Bearers had summoned this new hell, and bowing to their will.

The Champion looked upon the Legions new slaves, a motley bunch taken from the manufactorum’s skeleton, the last of the defenders left alive throwing down their weapons. Of these, some would be taken for sacrifice back at Labyrinthia, others would be separated into slave battalions, and a select few could hope to join the Forsaken Guardsmen and fight for the glory of the true gods.

Reports were coming into the city, many Imperial positions had been taken or driven back, but the defenders were fighting for every scrap of terrain they had left. The Firebrands had ordered the cult soldiers competent enough to maintain order under the new circumstances to start rigging the ruins, in preparation for the inevitable Imperial effort to retake their dead city, a mined street here, a tattered ruin readied to collapse upon the road there, and all over hidden explosives ready to punish the foolhardy crusaders.

“Commander, we have received word of an Imperial holdout in their armory. They have repelled a marauding assault already.”

Urlox regarded the sergeant darkly, “Why is this place not taken by our forces already?”

“The defenders blew the supplies early in the assault, our insurgents failed to secure the location at the outset of hostilities.”

“I assume they’ve been punished accordingly.”

“None survived the sabotage my lord, they charged into the burning remains to gain whatever supplies were left.”

Urlox grinned within his twisted helm, he could not fault their new followers for their zealotry, perhaps some of them would live to become useful to the Host. But that was as of now no matter, he had Imperials to slay, and wished to himself the prey would be their.

He ordered the cultists to begin shelling the Armory, mortars, grenades, anything they could muster. He would lead the assault personally.

OOC: You wrote the fight, not me :p ; also Astartes are not affected by Darkness either <.< night vision and other crap like training etc. The only valid argument is that they are probably not as good as Raven Guard or Night Lords in fighting in the dark lolz

    Imperial City Ruins
The shelling had begun with a full minute of mortar barrages along the road, deep craters scored the earth providing cover for advancing PDF renegades making smart use of the cover provided. Upon reaching the bunker though they would discover it was abandoned, Atrius having forsaken the position to join his scouts, who were advancing along the roof tops to reach the bombardiers positions, well place bolter shots detonated mortar stacks or blew the heads off of the men using them. Meanwhile the three soldiers who had escorted them to the Armory were manning the building Davian and Matthew had hunkered down in previously, grenades in hand simply waiting for their traitor brethren to enter the bunker.

Several explosions rocked the interior of the Armory, booted feet storming in to clear out whoever may of survived the grenades. "What? Where in the warp are those loyalist dogs?" The traitor sergeant bellowed at his men only for the cracking retorts of to answer, two grenades clinked down the stair way and detonated, the tight confines of the building turning it into a death trap. Whatever advantage was gained swiftly vanished as the main host of Chaos forces began flooding the streets, crazed cultist, traitor marines and myriad daemon touched horrors amongst them.

Atrius lead his scouts back into the building, taking shelter within and setting up firing positions. The troopers allied with them had returned to the smoking bunker to avoid giving them away, acting as decoys for the most part while Atrius contacted Deris and told him to abandon the Bunker and garrison all troops inside the large four story building with an appropriately flattened roof. Deris hadn't questioned this, his convoy arriving just as the heretic forces were coming in range. The Razorback deployed out of sight, lowering it's ramp to allow the unarmed civilians and wounded to be brought out, all six Astartes covering their flight into the building with precise burst of bolter fire. Smoke launchers atop the Razorback spat covering fog around the bunker, attempting to misdirect enemy forces toward it while they garrisoned the Munitorium building.

Despite the trained reflexes of the Blood Angels the tired, scared mob in their wake were slower to act and battle was joined while half the PDF were still outside along with their Marine saviors. Damien ranged ahead of the defense as the Red Thirst overtook him, the situation looked hopeless and the enemy was right before them after running away from their foes he wanted only to bring death and did so, unleashing his flamer's burning fury upon the horde in wide arcs.

Deris watched the spectacle through grit teeth, his brother having ignored all orders to fall back in line to bring death to the enemy. "Brother Sergeant Atrius, one of my men has broken formation. When he dies put a bolt in his promethium tank, he is lost to us." The Razorback had been abandoned, the automated storm bolter lending it's weight to the fire while a melta charge had been rigged inside by the driver who had driven it in front of the main entrance to the building once the Tactical squad had made it inside. Hesitating a brief moment the driver offered thanks to the vehicle's machine spirit for it's sacrifice as it's storm bolter went dry like the heavy bolters mounted upon it. Disgorging from the open backside he joined his brothers in the building. All that was left was to stand their ground till extraction came, or they died.

  9. Character: Skarlm Wyrdsbane
    Alias: Threadcutter
    Player: Ultio_Ultionis
    Faction: Space Marines
    Sub-Faction: Space Wolves

Traits (Special Abilities or other Characteristics):
    - Wolf Scout: Unlike his comrades, Skarlm favors the sniper's bullet and quiet infiltration over brutal melee and a howling charge into enemy lines. He has practiced for centuries at hiding in the shadows and excels at his role as a Wolf Scout.
    - Ranged Weapons Mastery: After Skarlm's packmates were slain he requested to serve a tour of duty with the Wolf Blade. It was during his stay on Terra that he sought out new combat techniques and that brought him into contact with a curious Vindicare assassin. Through rigorous hours of training and drills his already superhuman accuracy was eventually surpassed. Upon completing his training the assassin vanished, Skarlm never got his name but has never forgotten the man and the edge he gained in the battles to come.

    Flaws:
    - Melee Combat Handicap: Though as effective with melee weapons as his more hot-blooded fellow Space Wolves, Skarlm is a slow burner and prefers to kill his enemies at a distance and only ever resorts to melee combat if it's absolutely necessary. He carries a large two-handed power sword he acquired during the Months of Shame but keeps it well-secured to his back when not in use, which takes a few painstaking more seconds than it should when drawing, a penance he willingly accepts.
    - Death Before Dishonour: Skarlm does not hesitate to give every mission his very best. Even when all seems lost and defeat is all but certain Skarlm will rally to assault his foes and kill as many of them as possible before he breathes his last. He reacts badly to calls to retreat and has a tendency for heroics.
    - Old Grudges: At over 500 years old he is one of the oldest Space Wolves having been present during the Months of Shame where his packmates were all killed during the ensuing conflict with the Ordo Malleus. Pragmatic as ever he blames both Logan Grimnar and the Inquisition for their respective shortcomings but nurtures a special seed of hate for the Grey Knights, who cut down his brothers during a pitched battle and shattered his arms and legs. This prejudice may erupt into outright violence should he encounter an Inquisitor of the Ordo Malleus or a Grey Knight.

    Sub-Faction Trait / Flaw:
    - Curse of the Wulfen: Like all Space Wolves, Skarlm imbibed of the Canis Helix and the blessing and Curse of the Wulfen became his to bear. During particularly intense combat Skarlm may surrender to the beast within, going into a killing frenzy. This makes discerning friend from foe nearly impossible. A librarian or close friend may shake him from this fugue but at a stark risk to themselves.

    Cybernetics, Implants, Weapons & Equipment:
    - Cybernetic Elbow, Knee, and Shoulder Joints: His arms and legs were broken by a Grey Knight during the Months of Shame. The cybernetics provide more impact absorption in the legs when falling from great heights out of power armor. Also, the arms can handle more stress from lifting, dragging, and pulling due to said cybernetics.
    Equipment:
    - Scout Armor: Standard Wolf Scout Armor
    - Camo Cloak: Enables blending into virtually any terrain.
    - Auspex: For gathering data.
    - Astartes Combat Webbing: Enables the storage of various items of use.
    - Magnetic & Hooked Grapnels: Enables the scaling walls, buildings, or cliffs via a sturdy wire. Uses a winch-like device and is fired from a bolt pistol.
    Weapons:
    - Astartes Issue Sniper Rifle w/ Silencer
    - Astartes Issue Bolt Pistol w/ Silencer
    - Mastercrafted 2-Handed Power Sword (Ultionis): Gifted to Skarlm after the Months of Shame, once belonged to a Grey Knight that fell to his pack during battle.
    - 2 Frag Grenade, 2 Krak Grenade, 1 Melta Bomb
    Special Equipment:
    - Teleporter Beacon: Once activated it allows Terminators to home in on its location and teleport nearby to take the battle to the enemy. Must maintain a healthy distance once activated or run the risk of being severely injured from incoming Terminators materializing out of the warp.

OOC: There is only 1 sub-faction trait and that is the Curse of the Wulffen, the increased senses for example are well-known and are therefor passive for SW ^^
