Another person conflating expectations with acceptance. No surprise.
  2. How can you know what I fucking expected? Also, why should I determine if my expectations have been met (which I, by the way, never did), if the game isn't even released? All you do is tossing around "hurrdurr, you shouldn't accept", but you don't even show an alternativ (except spewing shit over the forum, obviously).

You forgot the long-winded angry rant @BrotherDamnatus, the one where you tell us how smart and intelligent you are, how many huge projects you have driven to completion, how much you understand game development and software development in general, how generally awesome you are and how dumb and useless people who disagree with you are.

One should have this fucking expectation in this community.

I mean, the devs told you that what was promised won't be shipped during release and that release does not matter much, it's just a formality. See? I highlighted the important parts, just in case you read them.

My alternative would be to share your feelings with the devs, in this forum. Many people have. Problem is, they are immediately attacked by a horde or angertards screaming IT'S JUST ALPHA SHUT UP.

So not only do you refuse to give any negative feedback to the devs (scared of confrontation? afraid to hurt someone's feelings?) you actively silence the ones who try to.

So, congratulations. Go enjoy your 2nd-rate lobby shooter. It's the game you deserve because people like you lap this shit up. Personally, I enjoyed it too, I got my money's worth out of it (I have a lot of disposable income to not give a fuck for 40€) so we are all a big happy family now.

Yup, everyone who doesn't share you opinion is an angertard and those who use the biggest salt shaker on the developers are all completely polite about it.

Look, we understand your frustration at not getting what Miguel promised, but you're wasting your breath.
  5. I'm sorry to disappoint you. I work in software development, I never made an IQ-test because I was afraid they would have to make a new scale upwards and that's why I'm better than everyone else. I hope you feel better now.

They also tell everyone that the game is early access which means it's subject to changes. When they say release doesn't matter, I hope that, like they said, they will support and development the game after release as much as they are now (or at least enough that you can feel progress). If they won't, that's when I might start the ranting on the forum as well. But I can't see the future.

I never told anyone to shut up. I just offer my point of view. Also, I really enjoy my 2nd-rate lobby shooter (some patches more than others...). I also still believe EC will, sooner or later, be more than that.

Thanks. I too understand your emotional attachment after spending a lot of money and time on what was, essentially, a tech demo with a lot of broken promises attached to it. That's fine, I mean, I don't blame you. If you invest hundreds of hours into something, you will be defensive about it.

But you too should not blame people who didn't form emotional attachment to promises. We are not all the same kind of person. Live and let live.

That makes no sense at all. I assume you were trying to answer an other post...

Sorry for confusing you. Just ignore my posts if they are that difficult...
  9. 0strum 0strum Arkhona Vanguard

Ah, so you actually did mean it. Well I hate to break it to you, but it sounds as if YOU'RE the one who formed an "emotional attachment to promises". What are you even trying to achieve with this projection?

I do feel a little better, thank you. Though I was expecting more.
Do you think its common for software companies to literally downplay their own releases? Does it seem like a good idea to you? Honest question.
So you are able to see the future after all! I found another fellow Aspiring Sorcerer of Tzeentch :)
