Environment variation, model quality (yeah i know its wip), environment graphics look significantly higher than character model graphics ( i also realize this is to be improved). Also none of the models seem to be using any customized armor or clothing..is it all still in development?
The last pic is clearly heresy because of the peaceful image it gives Other than that, I keep thinking those jump packs marines (chaos or loyal) look so darn clunky and silly ^^ But that's mon-keigh, what-could-I-do
I just want to point out something cool i noticed in the image below http://i.imgur.com/0x5GHw1.jpg notice the skybox...in most games there will be a sweeping vista of cloud and sunlight...in the 41st millenium even the sky is grimdark!
I'm sure they didnt want to go to E3 and have absolutely nothing to show. Then again, I'm also pretty sure they didnt want to make any reveals until they had an awesome looking finished product. Quite the dilemma. I really hope they stick to correct Space Marine Anatomy within power armor suits. There was that one newsletter, which I cant find, that had the SM's body superimposed over the armor, where the head sits a bit lower in the armor frame between the shoulders, rather than atop. I hope someone can find that pic, and post it in this thread! Edit: I found the pic. Notice how the SM's head sits between the upper portion of the shoulder armor in the WIP below, and how there's a small area where the head is recessed into the armor. In the screenshots the CSM and SM helmets are proportionally too large, and their heads clearly set more atop the shoulder armor rather than sitting lower and recessed within the armor, like in the "W.I.P" below.
Thoes ss reminds me of this game View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKcBtCRZXkg View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcONHuMFcXY Maybe some of you played it, too bad was shut down because of bad marketing management. I like the interface is simple, and the maps look Chaothic, alot of sadness!!! The rhino is cherry from the top. ( I found 12 people to much)
everything is in development. most of the screenies here were for testing gameplay purposes. I mean they don't even have model textures on, just straight coloring, that should tell you enough about the model quality and stage of production.
ohhh i just assumed from a laymans pov that the models were just nowhere near finished so no textures had even been put on a model yet.. thanks for clearing that up! Now that I think about it what you said makes a lot of sense for testing purposes its probably easier to have less textures and such, but in the proof of concept video the models looked significantly better visual quality i assume because they werent testing.
prototypes might have different quality associated with them based off what they're meant to do. I think earlier they were using a lot of imported SM models/textures, i.e. existing assets they had access to.
I am still confused by the choice of not borrowing the sm assets for this game its such a monolithic project that the help would surely be of use.
