  1. Wouldn't call it a dlc...

I guess not DLC exactly, but that seems to be the catch-all term for microtransactions/extra weapons/cosmetics.

i'm trying to be more funny than rude. i'm trying to tell it as it is. i'm new around here, and e3 makes me nervous for the future of this game. i don't understand the mantra of 'give them more time'. e3 matters for this game. if beta is coming early next year, they don't get another e3.
they're going to get my money, but my money isn't enough to make the kind of game that 40k deserves.

The reason I'm kind of writing off your big responses is you're new. There are a lot of older members here who are just as upset but you seem to be the leading voice. You haven't been around to see them show us what they're working on or talk to us here on the forum. I've been here at least six months and a lot of other people have been here longer. The devs have delivered up to this point. The people who are upset are completely justified but it's pointless to rant and rave about it the day of. There have been some delays in communication in the past but they always get to us and always answer our questions. Be patient and you'll get answers. You can keep screaming about and get answers eventually but there must be mutual respect here. The devs have not given their side of this and they deserve our attention when they do. They listen to us so we should listen to them. E3 is a big deal but I don't see it as an end all event for this game. I'm sure they're well aware of how important it is to the game. They're kind of making the damn thing. Their livelihoods are riding on this.

We were all hyped up about this and we're all upset. Be patient and you'll have your answers. Making a fuss will not bring them any faster.

There is some worrying stuff happening. I can only hope that the devs have just been saving all that for one big reveal. They'd have to with the new website happening soon, right?

It seems like they're more preoccupied with getting EC out to the press than with dealing with us fans atm, which is totally understandable (and the whole point of E3). And I guess they can assume we'll still be around when tomorrow comes. As long as they can get the tide of gamers flowing in, they won't have to worry about disgruntled hardcore fans.

Venting is healthy. Being dismayed is apt. Mad, sure. Within reason.

Being ready to call this thing, or smell its doom, or sense the end times upon a fetid wind because of one E3 screwup that was unlikely bE's fault is majorly bat shit nuts o_O

Some people around hear claim they have pre-earthquake dog-level ESP. And the doomcrying metaphors are pretty bad too :D

i just unsubbed my accounts on EVE:Online and Dust:514. ccp was supposed to be the 'developer to end all developers' or whatever, but that turned out to not be the case. if i'm a little gun-shy at the moment, well... i've been burned recently.

i've watched every video and interview that's come out in the last year that i can find on youtube. i've looked into the previous games that miguel has developed, and i've even started reading the forums on those games so i can find out what people think. (people are NOT super impressed with the PVP in the secret world)

the old stock around here seems to have a *lot* of faith in the dev team, and that's reassuring. today was not super reassuring. if my voice is loud, it's because i want answers. if my voice is loud, it's because i'm accustomed to shouting over the masses i fight with. this forum is designed so the developers can find out what we think of things.

this thread is what we think of things.
