The fact of that matter is that they just really don't have their shit together, if we're being honest. They've made a ton of bad choices and instead of owning up to them, they tend to just double down. I mean, the closed alpha NDA link is STILL on the website. Why? Closed alpha has been over for a LONG TIME. Nobody noticed? Nobody cares? Who knows? [Edit: They've still made a fun game, I'm not knocking them. They just really don't seem to have any real structure to how things are done.]
Cannot connect to EC servers. This game is exemplar sample of amateurism. I hope no more money will be thrown into bE toilet ...
Last year I had to remind them about something in the disclaimer on their livestreams no longer applying. I think they were just copy/pasting it from a text document without really thinking about it. Can't blame them after so many livestreams, probably just became an automatic process in the mind of whoever filled out the Description. They fixed it. : D
Greybox released Dreadnought into open access and they did a similar thing. The new User Agreement for Open beta was an exact copy of the Closed beta NDA advising you that you were playing a closed beta. The only difference was the title of the agreement! Makes you wonder if that agreement is still legally binding? They open say its Open beta but you signed a document that doesn't relate to it? Just makes you wonder I believe EC still has "Persistent World, Thousands of Wargear" still on the steam advert . Appears to be up and running again btw
Every singe free 2 play game i have been involved with, bee it exiting from beta or going free to play, has had this same exact thign happen. Servers get overwhelemd and shit breaks down on launch. Youd think game developers would be prepared by now. Though to be fair, the game is at least palyable when the servers are up. Not all games can claim that upon goign f2p.
