Enemy Ai Complexity & Difficulty + Procedural Content?

    I hope they nids are just smart enough to be a threat to players and make them worry about an ambush and just worried about them dying to em. I dont want them to just be durdling around the field and just causing people to waste ammo on them
  2. Get back in after a month and see ninjas.

    I'd like to be able to test Tyranid AI in the alpha (assuming that they are available of course)
    So we can make sure that they are working properly.
  3. Wouldnt we all like to kill some Nids early enough.

    I can only tell you guys that Miguel passed my question about 'testing' tyranids in the early game modules to Chan and Brent, so there's hope :).

  8. Actually it's first a technical question - getting the PVE instances up and ready to support the environment for AI is not done yet. The AI works are in it's basics and are also way to early to make any kind of promise.
    The Alpha Version will for sure have AI running, and ready for some testing - though, hope it's been made clear, we are talking about Pre-Alpha access, and there it's very unlikely, especially early on!
    Alpha is planned for Spring (March-June) next year! Followed by polishing it - going into Beta after!

    Oh Patrick, nobody can shatter my hopes like You :). Beta You say, ok. On the other hand would we really need something more than basic AI for tyranids as reactive targets in the early modules?

    Anyway, I hope we at least will be able to test weapons in the shooting range and some kind of melee practice in the early modules (I will pretend the targets are tyranids :D muawhahaha).
