There's a major difference between actual quality roleplay and spammish drivel. Roleplaying consists of preferably detailed paragraph or multi-paragraph posts on a forum in a specific IC thread and such in-character discussion is used no-where outside of the IC, especially not OOC discussions (which this forum is near completely comprised of). Single spammy lines of text or annoying long posts attempting to discuss an OOC topic in some strange mutated format being compared to quality roleplaying on forums or on the table is an insult to those that partake in such activities. There is a very clear, large line between roleplaying and spam, and for some reason this forum seems to be completely ignorant of it (the 'Roleplaying' forum is a joke). A small child running around in a batman costume screaming 'I AM THE BATMAN' is not roleplaying, they're partaking in a childish version of it. Actually quality roleplaying consists of character building and world building between players with a Dungeon Master or Original Poster in forum-RP's to lead the group. So no, it isn't roleplaying and no different than a small kid running around in costume yelling quips from a movie and it's getting damned annoying people keep comparing it to quality roleplaying, and it's a bloody plague on this site. Last I recall, Dakka Dakka, Warseer, Bolter and Chainsword, and other well-established W40K fansites didn't have to result to everyone screaming 'FOR TEH EMPER0R!!!' at them end of their posts, and are capable of holding length discussions on the subject matter without such constant spam. At best maybe a meme or two or some joke threads made, but it certainly isn't a plague like it is on these forums. And while the game has not been made yet, we can easily extrapolate what it will likely behave when released by comparing it to the game it will probably quite similar to- Planetside 2. And the gaming communities surrounding those games can be used as examples for how the community of Eternal Crusade will behave, which sure as hell better not be stuck within some foolish RP format lest you wish to commit suicide as a faction and lose a planet.
well in all around i like ure post and iam fully agreed with u but i chukled at the moment where u said dark angels aligned with necrons it only happen with Blood angels and Necrons against tyranids + Ultramarines with Tau against Tyranids and Blood Ravens with Eldar of Biel Tan against Sindri the Demon Prince. there may be other good examples aswell but i think that these 3 are the best to show

Always funny when people reply to a thread made 3 month ago ^^ You know there were probably diplomatic issues in EC, and if Space Marines stay blind and saying "NO ! We are the Emprah's Fury we don't need ally !" We will probably lose battle against allied ennemies

I don't need to prove my faith in astartes's power, i'm agreed we are the perfect tool for our glorious Emperor, but i still not blind, Boreal died because he think Astartes cannot lose a battle. We don't have to make the same mistake.
We can learn from his mistake and become stronger Astartes, without needing of the alliance. With who you want to ally with? Heretics? That's out the question. Green witches?
