(In all seriousness, how would Space Marines act with the Idea of teaming up with the xenos and chaos factions? Since truces can be formed between players, from a lore standpoint it would be kind of messy to say Chaos and Space Marines teamed up to fight Eldar. How would you personally react if your higher ups told you to kiss and make up with the Orks so we could fight CSM?)

I would attack you the moment the chaos threat was eliminated.

I'd probably just ignore the xenos and focus on the problem at hand, the space mushrooms can be dealt with later

Mhhhh I would team up with Eldar but only in VEEEERY emergency case (get rid of Chaos / Eldar or Nids) but I would not trust them to be behind or near me.... Simultaneous attacks, yes, attacking together, no. After all the flee after they get a scratch!

But my Courage and my Honour forbids me to ally with Heretics or the Green Tide, the Eldar are treacherous but not stupid, same for the Tau. They know when there is a greater threat which has to be taken care off first, but as soon as the threat is gone I will declare them to my very enemies and that my Heavy Bolter may strike them where they stand!

This is how "alliances" will work in EC. Join forces vs. another faction, as soon as that faction is on the run, turn on your "ally."

Here is a simple order of operations:

1. Join forces w/ X to kill Y
2. Y beaten
3. Profit
4. Turn on X
5. ???
6. Profit

That is certainly not the Templar spirit, we shall attack both at the same time!

The Eldar are... quite complex. I would not be willing to ally with them, unless there is gain to be have, and a grantee that they will not backstab us.

The Orks... I have bribed Orks before. They will always betray you however, at some point. It is just a simple matter of when.

Despite being from what many can consider... quite a controversial Adeptus Astartes Chapter... I would not fight alongside those beholden to Chaos. Nothing can be gained from allying with them. The blood of revenge and hatred runs too deep.
